Jordan's Cooking
by: Little Miss Sorrow
Today Jordan came in with a burn, big and angry red on her left arm. Behind her came a laughing Woody, now all of this just seemed to anger Jordan and she stormed out of the elevator.
"Come on, Jordan", Woody said, "it's funny!"
Now if the whole incident with Jordan burns hadn't caught my interest (which it most definitely had) this did.
"What, Woodrow is funny?" I questioned in my sweetest voice.
"Jordan's cooking" he answered me,
"Shut up, Woody, it's not" Jordan turned around red in her face; probably because of embarrassment I mused.
"You made puck coloured soup, Jordan, it's hilarious" Woody stated,
"You know, I was aiming for French Onion Soup, but not that anyone would notice" Jordan said, now joining our laughter with her own, oh so charming, snorts.
So Woody continued to tell the tale of Jordan's cooking. Turned out Jordan had invited Woody over for dinner. And though Jordan is certainly no domestic goddess she thought that a simple soup couldn't be that hard. Oh how wrong she was. The whole bullion thing and slicing and dicing onions were a real piece of cake, but some were along letting the soup simmer and boiling Jordan decide that the soup was not smooth enough. Here is when the burn comes in. She decides to pour the soup into her blender; however, she did not put the lid on properly and as she turned on the switch high temperature soup sprayed all over her kitchen. It was in this state of cleaning up and taking care of burn marks Woody found her and after helping her cleanup he offered to take her out. To this Jordan, the proud woman she is, declined and said that she had promised him a meal and a meal he would get.
"So what did you eat" I ask most curiously. Woody shares a look with Jordan before he answers.
"Peanuts butter Sandwiches"
