Renka sat silently against the wall, head bobbing to the thumping of the music flowing from her headphones. Her eyes were closed, and that put her in a bad position. In a place like this, daily life was far from what would be considered normal. A presence was quite clear to her, however, and it was approaching. Whoever it had settled down next to her, and remained completely still. Renka opened her eyes and looked in that direction. She recognized her blonde-haired friend immediately.

"Hey," She said, taking her headphones off and resting them around her neck, "good morning, Rose…" He smiled at her.

"I wasn't sure you'd be able to tell I was here," He replied, "You listen to that music so loud." He gestured to the headphones, which were still quite audible, even around her neck. She smiled sheepishly.

"I like to think of it this way, Rose," She said, tapping her iPod gently, "If you don't listen to it loud, you shouldn't listen to it at all."

Rose chuckled, and nodded slightly, "I could agree to that…" He said, looking over to the source of a sudden crash.

"They're at it again…" Rose sighed. There were a few shouts of choice words and insults before another loud crash sounded. Renka scoffed.

"What else is new," She picked up her iPod and began flipping though the songs, "They fight like, every fifteen minutes."

Somewhere close by, another friend of hers, Love, began to laugh loudly,

"Guess what just happened?" He looked over at Rose, not really looking for a response. Rose sighed loudly, and looked a little irritated.

"Don't ruin it for me… I'm not finished with the last volume yet!" Rose replied. Renka giggled a little, looking down and away from Rose.

"No, you've gotta hear this! So—" Rose looked rather panicked, and grabbed Renka's headphones from around her neck and placed them on his own head. Renka watched him, catching on to the general idea. As Love continued to babble on about what had happened in this month's Shonen Jump, Rose sat there, listening to some song he'd never heard before. Renka looked amused by the overall event.

Rose looked over to Renka, and whispered, "Is he finished yet?" Renka nodded, smirking.

"—Isn't that hilarious?" Love finished, beginning to laugh again. Rose smirked and looked down at the ground and chuckling.

"Yeah, Love." He said, "It's a riot." He looked over and mouthed a 'thanks,' to Renka. She laughed at him.

"Glad I could be of service…" She took back her headphones and put them in their place around her neck.
