The doctor was walking down the hall, and tried not to look at the door as he passed it, but something had changed. Looking up, in his own language, was Rose's name. It was inscribed with swirling black letters on a red metal plaque. Tears came to his eyes, and after a moment of hesitation he pushed the door open. It was exactly as she had left it. Her bed was unmade, messy but somehow characteristically hers. Clothes littered the floor by her dresser, and the scent of her perfume still cling to every surface. Beneath that, wafting faintly in the air, was the scent of just her.

He walked over to the edge of the bed, setting down, and looked around. On her night stand, he noticed a picture of her and him at Christmas in a silver frame. But it wasn't exactly straight. Reaching over, he impulsively grabbed it, intending to correct the problem. Opening it at the back, he removed the hard cardboard backing, and stared at the object in front of him. Between the picture and the board was a folded piece of paper which had flattened from being there for so long. Taking it out, he set the picture frame aside, already forgotten.

Unfolding the paper, he could see it covered in her scribbly writing.

Doctor, if you're reading this, then I am probably gone already. I left the picture that way because I know that it would bother you for the image to be offset. I only hope that I'm not gone because I did something to make you angry or make you want me gone. But I know that if that is the case, then you must have good reasons for doing it, and I won't blame you.

Moving on, there is something that I need you to know. On the game station, I became the bad wolf, and for a long time I didn't remember anything. But about a month ago I dreamed about what happened, and there is something that stands out more than the rest. Remember what I said? 'All that is, all that was, and all that ever could be.' I wasn't lying. I saw something of my future, and yours, and it scares me, but I won't say what it is. So instead I will tell you that there are 5 other things just like this. Each one is in a different place, and in a different form. But I don't want you to seek them out, because then they will be found in the wrong order. Let them come to you, and trust me they will. So my doctor, I will give you a piece of the overall puzzle.

I am gone but I will never leave, and by the power of the time vortex I will not be forgotten or erased.

Keep that in mind, and I promise that everything will not be in vain. Also I will assume that you've already found out what I gave to Jack for you. If not, then be patient and it will happen soon.

Forever, Rose.

He read and reread the paper over and over, and the questions swirled in his mind uncontrollably. Had she known what would happen?

No, he finally decided, that's not possible. When she let go of the power of the vortex, she had lost all of her memories of what had happened. So there was no way that she could have dreamed of the events that had unfolded .

Then the last thing she'd written stuck out to him.

"Forever." He whispered, as though it were a vow, before tucking it safely into his pocket. Once he replaced the picture on the night stand, he left the room, and started to walk away. A suction cup sound made him turn, and he found that her door was gone.

But he had no idea what would happen next, and what set of events had been set into motion.
