Ch. 1
Nana could not believe it, her team Honon had won the END OF SUMMER race, for the third time in a row. They had also won with her as team captain. She had been more nervous about being the team captain then the time she had to actually run one of the races. Ayumu had put full faith into her, as she had put full faith that he would be a great relationer. After that race last year everyone decided that the next team captain would be her.
As she raced down to her team her two best friends high fived her as she jumped into the group. "Great job, guys!" exclaimed Nana. "I can't believe we won for the third time in a row."
"We couldn't have done it without you Nana," blushed Riku. "You're not only our relationer, but our team captain."
Nana smiled and blushed at her friend and teammate. Everyone eyed them as the two still looked at each other.
Takeru was happy that his two childhood friends had gotten closer, but… "I hate to interrupt this moment, but I think it's time to head to the stage to get our trophy." This time both of the two were blushing as their teammates laughed at them.
The team walked tall and proud to the stage where not only they saw their old teammates, but Nana's father holding the trophy. "I told myself if you beat my team, than I wanted to be the one to hand it to you."
Nana could feel tears in her eyes as her father handed her the wining trophy. "Thanks dad!"
"I'm so proud that I would like to make an announcement," exclaimed Mr. Sakurai. "As the head of the Stride Headquarters I would like to announce that my daughter Nana Sakurai will be the next head to Stride Racing!"
Nana was so shocked that Riku took the trophy from her before she could drop it. "Dad are you serious?" asked Nana still shocked.
"Yes dear, I am," spoke her father. "However with that said, being the head of a company is hard work, but having someone there to support you can make all the differences." The way he was speaking gave Nana a bad feeling, and not just her. "This person should have a great understanding and love for Stride just as much as my daughter that is why I have chosen five suiters for my daughter. They are…"
