~Alana's POV~
I ran through the forest, sticks that pocked out from trees scrapping me as I ran. Faster and faster, resisting the urge to look back. The trees seem to have a certain glow to them, it made me feel happy, alive. I wasn't sure where I was going, I just wanted to…go. Escape the reality that I was living in, and go to another universe and start all over again. I wouldn't mess up this time.
A clearing started to slowly show itself. The faster I ran the farther it seemed. I kept running anyway, nothing would stop me now. I was so close! I could practically feel the breeze already. I steadied my breathing, I couldn't be out of breath when I reached the new city. I wanted to make a good impression, running into the city panting while trying to talk to someone is considered VERY rude! At least in my home town.
I finally got to the clearing and before I went through, I slowed my running down to a walk. I wanted to savor this moment, even if it sounded silly. I breathed in and out, then walked right through the clearing. It was beautiful! I remember this city from a book I read. Fiore. The City of magic.
I had been infatuated with magic since I was a little girl. When I walked into the bakery (at my homeland) the Shop owner, Ana, told me about my deceased mother.
Ana told me she was a beautiful wizard. Nobody knew what her magic was, she never told anyone. So that night I went to the library and read all about magic. What types, what magic energy was, and plenty of other stuff too. But I had given up on my dream long ago, the dream of being a wizard.
I walked down to the largest building with a symbol I knew so well. The fairies mark. The mark that saved my mother, and will hopefully save me too- Suddenly a Pink haired boy ran out of the building and crashed into me. "yow!" I yelped. The pink haired boy stood up and looked at me, he scratched my head and wore the most curious look on his face. 'Hehe, I'm sorry." Then he got up and walked right back into the building yelling at someone. "Are you ok child?" A low voiced asked from behind me. I looked for where the voice came from and saw an old man. When he stood, his back arched, and his face neutral. "Yea, I think I'm okay. Thank you." I said, eyeing him curiously.
He must have noticed my curiosity, and quickly added. "I am Makarov. I am the master of fairy tail." He pointed to the Fairy sign. "oh"
"Child, I saw you watching the guild, would you like to join?"
