The Sweet Nightmare
I DO NOT OWN CRIMINAL MINDS IT BELONGES TO JEFF DAVIS
"I will never forget you Spencer" she lightly kissing him on the cheek. He tried to hold on but it was as if she were a ghost. No matter how tightly he held onto her hand her fingers easily escaped his grasp. He tried to stop her but no matter how fast he ran are how loud he screamed, she didn't turn around nor did she seemed to be listening.
He was suddenly awoken by his friend's hand shaking him
"Reid?! Reid?! Wake up man" Morgan was looking at his friend with complete worry "You OK?"
Taking a few deep breaths "Yeah I'm okay. What happen?"
"Nothing I think you were having a nightmare 'cause you were yelling. What were you yelling?"
"I don't remember, but I was chasing after someone"
"Have you been having the same nightmares lately?"
"Yeah." Thinking back at what his dream was he remembers a person kissing him on the cheek, then saying something. He couldn't make out the words are the face. Nameless faceless, wordless.
There was a knock at the door. Morgan got up looked at Spencer and then answered the door.
"Is everything alright?" JJ looked worried too but when Morgan opened the door to see everything and the two were okay, her face had turned to relief. She put her gun down, taking a deep breath and then sighed.
"Yeah everything's just fine, Reid had a nightmare but he can't remember what it was about."
When Spencer saw JJ he suddenly remembered who was in his dreams, and when she spoke, the words in his dreams became filled.
"Sorry for waking you up." He looked down. Now embarrassed about his dream. Why was she leaving? "JJ… umm have you ever thought about leaving?"
JJ stared at Reid with a confused look on her face now. "No. Why?
"Never mind I was just curious." Giving her a shy smile. "Good night and sorry again for waking you."
Spencer's dream had changed. This time she wasn't saying goodbye, she was smiling happily at him. Leaning down, his arms going around her waist hugging her like this were the last time. Her arms going around his neck. He whispered "I'm never letting you go." But he knew it was just the beginning of a whole different dream.
