The Night Garden

"See? Isn't it fun when we do things like this together?" she asks as she waters the plants. He finds it odd for her to be doing something intended to be done duirng daylight during nighttime, but doesn't push it any further than that, as his wife is the epitome of all things cute, petite, and unique.

He shrugs, since she was the one who requested that they spend more time together. Even though more than a good chunk of the day would usually go by with the two in the same room.

She uses the excuse that more time was the merrier.

"Hmm, I think you would be able to appreciate it if you helped out some more." she retorts while pulling out another one of those infernal weeds. She does it gently though, following her belief that while it is a pest, it shouldn't be harmed for doing only what it knows to do.

She adjusts the little sun hat she's put on for the occasion, only serving to further confuse him. Since he's pretty sure that sun hats are only meant to be worn when the sun is out.

He sighs, as he knows she's right. He should try to help out more, and so, he begins to pull some weeds. Not as gently as her, but nonetheless the process is still carried out.

She gets on her knees and gives water to another healthy being, gently adjusting it's lopsided stem. Afterwards, she whispers a few words of confidence, and moves on.

From his viewpoint, it's almost as if the water alone is enough to make the flora stand upward again.

It takes a while for them to completely finish, and when they do, they sit at the center of the garden in order to take in their accomplishments. She smiles at the fireflies that aimlessly fly above them, "Aww! They say they enjoy what we've done with the place, isn't that sweet?"

He nods, and they spend a few more minutes there before going inside.
