Hey guys! I'm back with another oneshot, when there are more productive things I should be doing. : ) This is a tag to 6x18, Knockout, which was the one with that lady who totally knew what was going on with Tony and Ziva, even having just met them. Love that one. In that episode, she calls him Anthony, by the way… that's why I refer to him that way in this drabble. Enjoy!
Tara was a very intelligent, very perceptive person. She knew women. She knew men. And she definitely knew love.
She knew approximately fifteen seconds after Ziva walked into the conference room that there was something between these two. Admittedly, Tara had made Anthony quite nervous, but that certainly didn't account for all of what happened next: the way he stood very close to Ziva while handing her the papers, his body language when she murmured something. If their interaction didn't contain chemistry, she didn't know what did.
Tara didn't know what those two were doing, but whatever it was, they were doing it wrong. She tried to push them in the right direction; she was quite pleased with the timing of her elevator move- telling Anthony to "pick the right woman", and lthen letting the doors slide open to reveal Ziva. It had been a gamble; she had no assurance that Ziva would still be standing on the other side, but it had all worked out in Tara's favor. It was meant to be… just like Ziva and Anthony.
There was a part of her that didn't want to leave the two agents to their own devices, because it would be a true injustice if they didn't end up together. But then, Tara also believed that love overcame all obstacles… so with that in mind, she decided to just hope for an invitation to the wedding.
You know what would be a wonderful Christmas present to me? A review. : )
