Sofia the First: Greylock's Monocle

"Mr. Cedric, can I ask you a question?" Princess Sofia asked as she ate a fly cake while waiting for her mentor to get done with a potion.

Cedric paused in his work to look at her; it had been a while since she integrated him. For some reason she wasn't as curious as usual. He was beginning to wonder if this was even his apprentice. If it had been her evil twin the Castle would have been in a mess again. "If it's about Wormy's late night singing then yes, he is torturing me."

She giggled and looked at the raven. "It's was payback for using me as a lab rat again!" He squawked back angrily. While it was funny to watch a master and his pet argue Sofia really wanted her question answered so she could understand it.

"Actually Mr. Cedric, my question is about Greylock. I was…" Before Sofia could finish her question Cedric interrupted her. "Then there's no way will I be able to answer it." She frowned at his statement; he was only one in the whole Castle who knew a lot about Greylock. Now she wouldn't ever know her answer. Suddenly, an idea popped up in her mind hopping persuasion would work better than a straight forward question.

Sofia smiled as she put her fly cake down and walked up to him. "Please, if you answer my question then I'll take your place in making Wormwood try on his new wardrobe next time." As the princess waited for the bargain to set in the sorcerer's head Cedric's face beamed. Perhaps bargains could work out in her advantage again later on!

Cedric turned to her then began his explanation. "Back in our Hexley Hall days Greylock had always had a problem with that one eye he uses for the monocle, he would have used glasses like Baileywick but he thinks monocles are more stylish. He had been very sensitive about wearing glasses since he was the only one in school with that kind of eye problem. I'm not sure if he has gone over it but I guess he has."

With her question answered Cedric handed her an outfit to make Wormy try on. "Now that I've answered your question you shall hold up with you end of the bargain." Snapping the girl out of her thoughts. Sofia looked at the sweater with a big white "W" in the middle then nodded say "You got Mr. Cedric! Oh Wormwood, I need your help for a moment!"

Once the raven saw her coming with the black clothing in her hands Wormwood decided then that now was time for his escape! Making the princess chase him all over the Workshop! "Oh, just get it over with Wormwood please!" Sofia commanded as the royal sorcerer watched in amusement.

A/N: This may seem a little boring but I just had to work this story out to give my curiosity about Greylock to rest! Since my mother's doggie classes are over I'll be back to updating on both Wednesday and Sunday! I'll continue "Teaching the Mentor 3" Sunday! Please Review!
