A/N: This is my attempt at a Shakespearean sonnet, but without iambic pentameter for I cannot understand the difference between unaccented and accented syllables. So this is just poetry with Shakespearean rhyme scheme, ten syllables per line, and three quatrains and one couplet. Whichever you prefer.

Doctor John Watson needed a flatmate
Detective Sherlock Holmes needed a case
Moriarty was Molly Hooper's date
It was he who sent them on a brisk chase

A consulting criminal carved I O
U into an apple that would wreck all
Of his cherished things: violin and bow
To save precious lives he would need to fall

On the roof of St. Bart's stayin' alive
He said the very words John Watson dread
Lies surrounded him like bees in a hive
Not you, it should be me up there instead

Fatal actions were a means to an end
After the fall a man lost his best friend
