"I don't dance." Donna frowned as he grabbed her wrist, dragging her away.

"I'm sure you don't." he replied cheerfully, putting a hand around her waist and grasping her other hand with his. She craned her neck up to look at his face. "One song." He vowed.

"Fine," she said, feigning irritation. The TARDIS hummed and a song began oozing through the speakers.

Alabama, Arkansas I do love my ma and pa…. The Doctor laughed, twirling her and smiling brilliantly. "I refuse to release you until you cooperate." He said and Donna began grudgingly moving her feet in time with the music.

"Sounds a bit too country to dance to." She muttered.

"Nothing is ever too anything to dance to." He retorted, bringing her closer as they spun around the deck of the beloved ship.

Our home, let me come home, home is whenever I'm with you…

"Sounds familiar." Donna said absentmindedly, feeling the Doctor's fingers tighten around her own.

"You've heard the song before?" he asked gently.

"No… the lyrics, listen Alien Boy." She replied. He obeyed, his eyes growing distant as he listened harder to what the singers were saying.

I'll follow you into the dark, through the jungle, through the dark. Girl I've never loved one like you…

Donna felt his arm stiffen, forcing her to move closer to him. She noticed that they were now only half heartedly shuffling around the floor, so keen was his concentration on the words.

Moats and boats and waterfalls, alleyways and pay phone calls, I've been everywhere with you…

"Looks like the TARDIS knew the song better than we." He said quietly after a bit, stopping completely, but not releasing her.

His companion looked at him, smiling at the funny little expression her Doctor had on his face. His gravity-defying hair sprung in every direction. "I guess so." Donna murmured. "We have been everywhere together." She admitted.

"Yes…" he said, still thinking to himself. Donna attempted to release herself from his grip and he stiffened again, preventing her from leaving. His eyes snapped to hers and he gave her a lopsided grin.

Our home, let me come home, home is whenever I'm with you…

"Everywhere together." He echoed faintly. The words appeared to have struck him as something wonderful because his smile expanded until it was in danger of breaking his face.

"What's so fantastic Time Boy?" she snapped, puzzled.

He leaned down and pressed his forehead to hers, his soft hair tickling her head. "Nothing," he murmured. "Just…"

"Just what?" Donna demanded.

He shook his head and stepped away. "Just nothing." He replied.

Home is when I'm in love with you…

He turned and she reached for his hand. The Doctor froze, looking at her, his eyes threatening to fall out of his head. "Not so fast Space Cadet." His companion said gently. "You promised me one song."

"Did I?" he frowned, eyes twinkling. She nodded once and he wound his fingers through hers. "I suppose we'll have to restart now won't we?"

"I believe that's in order." She replied, a bit of warm air blew on them as the TARDIS rattled, a new song beginning as he pulled her as close as they could manage, twirling and spinning.

They didn't keep track of when the song ended, neither wanted to be the first to relinquish hold on each other.
