Hi, this is the very first chapter of my very first story. Miley isn't Hannah in this unless I change my mind but I don't think I will. The characters in this story may change than the way they are on T.V but I hope you still enjoy it. No, there is no prologue sorry. The others won't be as short as this don't worry.

"Bye, bud!" dad said as I walked out to go to the beach. We had recently moved to Malibu an hour before and I decided I wanted to explore. It was a Saturday, which is always good because you don't have to go to school. It's especially good if you have to start a new school so you have more time to prepare yourself and update your wardrobe with the latest trends. That is precisely what I intended on doing. As I walked, I thought to myself about wether school would be fun, or not so fun. maybe I'd make friends or maybe I'd be bullied for the rest of my life.

"I don't care! I want them specialty cookies delivered now!" I heard a small boy scream down the phone behind his small shack as I walked onto the beach. There was a sign just above the shack that read 'Ricos' and then I guessed that the boys' name was Rico and that he owned the shack.

"Hey, could I have a hot dog please?" I asked as he came of the phone. I could now see that he was at least four years younger than me. He had black hair nearly up to his shoulders.

"Sure, babes!" His expression changed a lot and he was now smiling showing all of his shiny white teeth.

"Thanks, I'm guessing your Rico?" I asked. He nodded. "I'm Miley."

"I'm guessing your new hey, never seen you around before at least!" Rico commented.

"Yeah, arrived about an hour ago," I replied.

"Come from somewhere hot?' Rico asked, sounding rather cheeky. "Cause your smokin' my shack down!"

I laughed. "Hunny, I am flattered but you are way out of my age group!"

"Can't blame a guy for tryin'!" He smiled and I ruffled his hair about. After that I just took a stroll around and gave myself a tour. It seemed like a nice place to live, I suppose. I came across a lot of interesting people. None of them spoke to me, I just guessed really.

Well I know that was short but the others won't be as short, I promise!
