Optimus Prime stepped off the ramp of Omega Supreme. To his left are Jazz, Bulkhead, Bumblebee and Ratchet carrying the casket of Prowl, a fallen but not forgotten soldier. Behind him are the captured Megatron, Shockwave, and Lugnut, as well as Omega Supreme. Inside the ship is Arcee, running diagnostics on the newly reawakened Omega Supreme. In front of him is a cheering crowd of at least one hundred Autobots.
Finally I'm a hero, he thought, maybe now that I've made something of myself will I be able to finally look forward at a new, happier future. . .
In the following year, Optimus Prime went through a Powermaster upgrade, fended off Megatron and his Decepticon army from the newly re-stationed Kaon on Earth, and, finally, becoming Magnus after the High Council finally got Sentinal off the stage. His friend, Bumblebee, was now a Prime, Bulkhead now a top space bridge engineer, Ratchet the leading Autobot Medical Officer, and Jazz had disappeared to parts unknown seeking to further his training.
Optimus checks his itinerary. After reading some very, very bad news, he immediately tells the newly re-bodied Blurr to call in Rodimus Minor.
"But, sir, Rodimus Minor, of which you instructed me to call in, is still healing from terrible wounds inflicted on him because of cosmic rust. . . What do you suggest I do? Stop all recuperating processes and force an injured Autobot down here? That isn't part of my morale coding, sir, but if you want me to-" Seizing the opportunity, Optimus Magnus cut in.
"Yes. That's exactly what I want you to do. Now do it. Please. And no more talking. To me, at least," he said.
Blurr looked at Optimus with blankness in his optics, as if he didn't understand the statement. Optimus was about to tell him to contact Sick Bay, but before he could, Blurr turned and sped down the corridor and turned into a room. Optimus heard Blurr say, "Come in, Red Alert. . . Do you copy?. . . Send Rodimus Minor to Metroplex as soon as you can." Optimus was relieved Blurr hadn't used extraneous wording, for he knew that Red Alert, however rational she was, would hardly stand for it.
As Optimus Magnus sat back on his desk, he leafed through the rest of his itinerary. He had a meeting with Alpha Trion concerning some Autobots rioters screaming about who-knows-what on the streets of Iacon, then he had to meet up with a Prime on a ship orbiting a nearby asteroid about gathered Decepticon intelligence. Optimus then remembered about that Decepticon who started claiming he was the rightful leader of the planet - who was it? - Gigatron? Yes, that sounded right. Optimus knew he would have to deal with this Gigatron eventually, but that was for another time. But now, he had to focus on the Decepticon who just escaped from Trypticon prison.
