When the other members of the Autobots spoke of their fallen comrade Cliffjumper, there was a general sadness that none of them could hide.
But, there seemed to be a personal sadness when Arcee would speak of him. Even Bulkhead couldn't help but notice how she would fidget and wring her servos together.
"I'm not your partner!"
She felt an involuntary chill down her spine, and she would steer herself away from the rest of them from there on out.
Perhaps more than sadness, there was guilt, too, the way her optics would look away towards an opposite direction or down at her lap.
"Let's get one thing straight – you're not my partner!"
She felt the twinge of guilt seep into her spark as she remembered saying those words to him, when they had first met, and he was only trying to help her.
The Autobots all knew better than to inquire her further.
But, there was ever the lingering curiosity that, between Arcee and Cliffjumper, there might have been more than a simple friendship.
