This was inspired by Special K by Placebo. It has a hidden meaning.

Also, sorry for no updates!

As of late, 2D has been finding himself making contact with the ground a lot more than usual. He'd be casually walking down the halls of Kong then trip for no apparent reason. Though his other band members didn't quite get why, Murdoc knew he was the reason why 2D kept falling. He'd never admit it due to the feathers it'd ruffle, so he kept the secret to himself.

And falling hurts. It started off as simply tripping over something, then it graduated to screwing up and falling off the counter, then the top of the stairs. Every day, 2D was swallowing more and more pain pills to relieve himself of the pain and chaos falling would reap on his body. No one knew that he was doing that.

Except Murdoc, of course.

And it was bothering him. He was not too happy about the singer swallowing so many pills. The little idiot would nearly down half the bottle at once, and still manage to find more pills when they ran out.

And the cycle continued.

The harsher gravity would act against 2D, the more pills he would swallow. The Satanist knew when they'd start to kick in whenever 2D's eyes would become glazed over and he'd smile at him for no reason while conversing.

It was almost like Murdoc was pushing 2D, in his mind. Whenever he'd come around, 2D saw that gravity would pull him to the ground. He'd come to form a bit of a theory that this was true.

But in reality, it was the exact opposite. Murdoc didn't want 2D falling around him. He didn't want him to get hurt. And he certainly didn't want him consuming the pills. In his mind, 2D shouldn't be floating around on that special kind of high just to fall harder than the last time.

So whenever he could, he'd catch Stuart. Give the boy the harshest glare he could muster and try to pull him back up. One look in his fractured eyes and they both were tumbling down. The bassist tried to prevent it from happening to the both of them, but the harder he tried the harder they both would fall.

The heights soon became life threatening. The situation more serious. 2D constantly wanted to be high and never wanted to crash, so he'd feed himself more pills. No matter what, Murdoc couldn't do anything to stop 2D from getting high. The pills were his addiction. His weakness.

The vocalist was sitting on the edge of the roof, enjoying his high on the pills he'd just downed, a very content expression on his face as he swung his dangling legs back and forth. As if by warped, cruel fate, Murdoc was coming to sit on the roof and be alone when he'd spotted 2D. He attempted to back away, but the singer sensed his presence. He turned around and tried to stand to greet the latter face to face when his footing caused him to slip and fall.

In a split second, the bassist was crotched over the roof and grabbing 2D's outstretched hand. Instead of glaring at him like he'd usually do, there was a different look in his eyes. There was a desperate, frantic look on his face, as if he were begging 2D to stop popping pills because it did nothing but risk his life.

2D raised his other hand for Murdoc to grab and steadied his feet on the side of the building.

Just to give a hard enough kick to send them both tumbling down towards the ground.

Murdoc looked at 2D and tightened the grip he had on his hands, his expression a mix of fear and anger.

The singer smiled reassuringly at him, that same glossy look in his eyes.

Murdoc's anger and fear subsided, and he closed his eyes and enjoyed the fall.

One thing they both could agree on was that falling would be either the beginning or the end of them.
