Trust is a fragile thing.

The lavender haired detective pulled the shades.

You lie once, just once, and it's broken.

Three people sat at the table in the now dim room.

Sure, you can pull the wool over the person's eyes for a while, or put rose-tinted shades on them if they're really that naive...

"Please, Kirigiri-san. Just let us go!"

But the wool can be pulled off by another. Rose-tinted shades can be knocked off.

"Being a detective is my job, Naegi-kun. I have to find the truth."

And when someone sees the lies that you've created surrounding them...

"Yo, I don't even know why we got aresscuated, lady!"

Their world shatters around them.

"It's 'arrested', Beat. And that's not a lady, that's Detective Kirigiri. Not that I have the slightest clue why we got arrested, either."

That's why people have to be careful with it.

"You guys forgot already?" Kyoko asked. The three kids nodded. "I swear, I'm going to have to get business cards with crimes on them so I can give them to people when they get arrested. Maybe then, they'll remember."

But people somehow think it's fun to treat trust as a toy.

"Anyway, you were all arrested for murder, specifically, the murder of Eri...Eri...Agh! Why can't people write neater?!"

They think it's fun to hurt people like that. Idiots.

"Why would me and Rhyme kill Eri? Tha's Shiki's friend!" Beat said.

"I don't even know a girl named Eri..." Makoto sighed.

Trust is important; people should use it wisely.

"Just trust me on this, okay, you three?"
