MHA: RETURN TO GREATNESS

Prologue

*Crackle, Crackle*

*Crash!*

"Ah!" A deep, feminine gasp rebounded through the vacant warehouse. Her eyes had squeezed close in anticipation to what was to come, having prepared herself for the impact, but was genuinely surprised when she was lifted from her feet.

Her emerald green eyes fluttered open while in the arms of the person, held in a bridal way to see that it was one of her male classmate carrying her. "Kobayashi-san?!" In both shock and absolute astonishment, it was almost impossible to ignore the bruises all across his face, blood leaking from a split just above his brows.

"Don't worry, Shinmura-san, I got you." The boy was cool, speaking rather calmly without any panic in his voice, which was as expected as one of the more collected individuals in New Class of 1-A. Having saved his female classmate, the boy was gliding over the concrete floor, the small, white angels wing at both his Achilles tendons flapping to allow him to do this. Once he put enough distance between himself and their target, he let his feet settle down on the floor, allowing his female classmate to settle on her own two feet. "Are you alright?" Though he said this to her, he let his attention stay trained on the woman that was causing all this.

Steadying on her own feet, the girl with the surname as Shinmura did not respond readily, taking a moment to look around the two see four- six- no, EIGHT of their classmate laying unconscious, bruised and beaten with trails of scattering lightning left over them. This made her groan, noting a few laid face down in their own blood, but their was something that made her spirits lift...if only by a bit.

Attempting to tend to all of her fellow classmates was a girl, her hair green and short, cut into a pixie still that was clearly unable to hide the fearful look that danced on her face. Out of everyone, she was clear of any scars, practically untouched to the point most would wonder if she had just arrived. On her knees, they were the sole parts of her body that was bruised, red, hands hovering over one of her face down classmates. "C-come on, Ryo-kun." In the midst of her saying this, the girl's voice could be heard breaking, whimpering with tears formed at the corners of her eyes, threatening to fall down her cheeks. "There's-" She swallowed a thick knot in her throat, it quite tough as could be seen on the face of the girl as she closed and reopened her eyes through this. "We have been through challenges far tougher than this."

But this was a lie to make herself believe that herself, Ryo, and everyone else would be fine. Forcing her Quirk into overtime, a soft, emerald green hue took over her hands. She wished they would've stayed in the dorms and hoped that the Pros could bring Sachi back, but everyone was so determined to do it on their own. "Please." She begged, pleading for the best to happen, the tears finally falling down her cheeks to drop in the pools of blood.

Shinmura saw to their rear that one of the only one of her peers with a healing Quirk was doing her best to tend to the others. This made the emerald eyes girl nod to herself, standing firmly next to the male to her right with a new look of determination in her eyes. "We have to keep Kakane-chan safe, alright?" She decided on not answering her classmates question, skipping to her main priority and that was the safety of her friends. "When we get the chance, we gotta make our escape." This was more of a whisper to him

Looking with his pupilless, blood red eyes, they were shifted to the left and to the short girl at his side, but he did not let his lips part to say anything to her. His simple nod conveyed it all in a single moment, displaying that his trust was all given to her and he would never renege on such a thing.

"Let's go." Clinching her fist down at her sides, Shinmura let her muscles tighten, her arms trembling from the fatigue and pain that rushed through her. Her clothes had been tattered, tore and left with her bare feet, her tank top that was torn into a midriff, and her lavender hair untidy and stripped from its ponytail. "We have to hit her hard!" The girl resorted to yelling now, urgency in her voice as her hair gain a bright, red-orange hue that was reminiscent to flame, her eyelashes and brows gaining the same color.

His fist clinched, knees bending as if he was getting ready to run a marathon, but there was this desolate feeling that made his stomach turn. Yet, this did not make him hesitate. It made him hungry. "We won't give her a chance to retaliate." He spoke, voice smooth, knowing the plan and was ready to follow through with it.

As she bent, putting more pressure into her legs, the structure around her feet was dug up from the sheer strength behind her. "Took the words right out of my mouth." Wasting little time in acting, Shinmaru blitz forward, swinging her arms back and forth.

Following after her, the boy known as Kobayashi charged after the girl, though the wings on his Achilles tendons flapped and allowed for him to virtually glide after her with no trouble.

Rocks crumbled as she pulled her hand from the concrete floor of the warehouse, pale, blue lightning crackling around her form and travelling along her body. "You insolent brats." Her legs were parted away from one another as she rose, her raven black hair draped over her face, but leaving just her right eyes visible to expose the almost shining red in them. "You're fools to think we share the same world."

From around the woman's form, she practically generated electricity, it crackling violently around her and along the floor below her feet. The electricity visibly ran across the floor, bouncing in noticeable arches as they traveled along the surface.

"Ugh!" It was strained, their bodies gaining a certain stiffness, which drop their dead weight to the floor as both Shinmura and Kobayashi fell face first into the concrete. The thud of their foreheads created a disgusting sound that echoed throughout the warehouse. Amid the confusion running through the minds of the two, these thought would stay there as the two could not speak or convey a single word. Face down and incapable of moving a single muscle, the two could only stare at the concrete, the cold from it traveling through their forehead.

"Whew!" Blowing a breath from her mouth, the woman used as single hand to toss her raven black hair back behind her head as she flipped it back just to leave to bangs falling in front of her ears. "If the Number 1 Hero didn't stand a chance, what made you think a bunch of zeroes could even put a scratch on me?" Stepping forward, the path between both the boy and girl that attempted to attack her was wide enough to stroll through with one foot in front of the other.

All their eyes could do was follow the woman...

With lightning still cracking gently around her, the woman stopped behind the green haired girl, her right hand on her hip, noticing her back was to her. "Your classmate, Sachi, believe it or not, came to me of her own volition even after I killed the Number 1..." Straightening the fingers of her left hand as she lifted it above her head, the woman stood calmly behind the kneeling girl that was giving it her all to heal her friend. "I did nothing to her." Bringing it down quickly-

The kneeling girl became aware of the words a little too late just to see the shadow of the taller figure behind her and something coming down on her.

A red mist sprayed with no warning to where it would go, this happening just after the woman brought her arm down on the girl, a burst of lightning having covered her.

'K-K-K-Ka-Kakane-chan...' Her lips would not move to express her disbelief and pure disgust at the sight, wanting to scream her lungs out until she'd need replacements. 'Kakane...' Shinmaru's eyes trembled at the sight.

"Maybe if you would have known this..." Turning halfway to face the downed individuals, the woman showed them their classmates blood having been painted all over her face and upper body. "...none of you would be losing your lives tonight." There was...this knowing smile on her face that was far more terrifying than a smile delivered by a villain in a Slasher movie. It was absolutely genuine, the woman smiling as if the next events had been played for her.

And terror ran through her body, it washing over her as she realized the fate of her classmates would fall onto both her and Kobayashi.

It had all but become just a structure over the pass half a century, standing there in it's original state as if it was looked up on on a daily basis.

I was not even thought of when the events that took place went down, but ever since I was born, it common to see the "Closed Indefinitely" sign on the front of the U.A. gates. In this current day and age, it was almost impossible to not know about what occurred fifty years ago to over half the class of 1-A, one apparently leaving the school grounds in the middle of the day with others attempting to bring her back in light of a big funeral taking place.

I still find it hard to convey this correctly, but I never knew the Hero known as Deku, but it was still strange to hear that some woman with a Lightning based Quirk was able to take him down. And, literally a day after...the class of 1-A sustained several casualties, leaving only the four that stayed behind alive.

"The death of U.A. students!" Yeah, I can just imagine what happened after that. Picketing, riots, and the petition to close U.A. indefinitely until they found proper staffing. And there was not much evidence that put me on the side of the Hero School.

This would be far harder for them to come back after...and it was exactly that: hard. Fifty years of just a building used to craft young minds before their departure into the Hero World just being a...well, a building.

Hands dug deep into his pockets, his white and black stared at the structure with the distance between them. He stood facing it on the sidewalk across the street from the once bustling establishment, but now it was nothing more than a building. "Or that's what I thought..." He mumbled to himself, taking note of the men in the front of the building removing the sign. "In four days, huh?" The boy spoke to no one but himself, thinking of all the broadcast that he saw on the internet.

Twelve students killed, One presumably missing, and four left in a empty class.

It made his stomach turn to know that the school would be open to the public once again in hopes of shaping minds, but how were they open? Never in his life time did he think he'd see the gates open and the continuation of teaching beyond those walls as their track record was not anything to brag home about. The last incident was just the final nail in the coffin.

*Clackclackclack*

The sound of heels hitting could be heard, the taller girl with the same honey brown skin as the boy walked with one foot in front of the other as if she was making her way down the run way. Taking on a appearance that made of a very spot on doppelganger of the boy, one would wonder more of than not if they were sisters. But this was not the case. She herself was undoubtedly a girl, and while her brother was given the name of Ryoko of hopes of twin sisters, he came out a boy with a stark resemblance to her.

Her lavender irises was set forward as she moved passed her shorter brother without doing much as to acknowledge he was there with her eyes. She walked confidently as if nothing in the world could hope to disturb her, her snow white hair bouncing with each step she took. "Staring at it won't make a difference." She spoke loud enough for him not to mistake the words spoken by her soothing, almost content voice. "I will be taking that test, and you're coming with me." Her tone left little room to argue.

As of he would anyways. His eyes lowered, eyes shifting to the side as a more desolate expression took over his face, feeling as if he was being forced to go, but he could not do much to go against her. "Yes, Shirasagi-san." Despite the girl being his sister, he held a more timid and hapless tone, using an honorific such as this. It was how he was told to address her, and he did not want to go against it.

Just a short prologue to get the ball rolling for the story. I didn't want to make this too long as the next chapter will possibly be another prologue chapter to showcase the twins I created for this story. Show how things are fifty years into the future where the Number 1 Hero was killed, and where U.A. was closed down for half a century. I kinda liked this concept where evil won this time around and really forced U.A. to close it's doors after students were killed in their care. I hope to catch the attention if a few so I can begin this, so follow and review to share your opinion on this.

Also, here's another thing to this story that I don't want control witb a character created by me. If you want, you can send in Number 1 Hero Candidates that possibly took over after Deku and also send in a character that inherited All for One before Izuku's death. These characters cant be too OP. If you choose on sending in a Number 1 Hero, just erase anything in the character sheet that you feel shouldn't be there.

Everything you need is on my profile :)

Name: Ryoko Shirasagi

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Ryoko is a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, VEEEEEERY pretty boy. Like, if the dictionary was being rewritten and was adding pretty boy, it would have His address for people to go and see him. Its a fact upon seeing him that his features are nearly feminine and less of masculine all together. With his delicate features and his heart shaped face, his skin is clear of any imperfections with a small hoop earring in his left ear. At the lower outer corner of his left eye is a small beauty mark. Though never manually trimmed, his eyebrows seemed to be professionally groomed, clean and notably short. One thing that separates him and an actual female despite looking much like one is his thin build, not overly bulky, but not too scrawny. He has just a mild amount of muscle mass, having an average height of 5'8. His skin color is a healthy honey brown skin tone. His eyes a quite narrow, stern set and in an almond shape, having thick eyelashes that are more suited for the opposite sex. His eyes are heterochromia due to the effects of his Quirk with his left eye being almost the same color as his sclera, white and with the only seperation being the limbal ring. His right eye is quite the opposite, a solid black with no identifiable detail that separated the iris from the pupil. His hair is long with a slight straightness to his locks, having random kinky arches sticking out in curves all over. His hair is a pure, snow white color, reaching his lower back, strands of hair sticking out wildly in a messy fashion, curving in random directions as if none followed the same route, flaring out like flames. His bangs are pushed to the sides of his face, framing it as they come to a point and also slightly framing his eyes with a bang at the center of his forehead. It stuck straight up with a curve, another bang crossing diagonally to the left of his face and touching the corner of his mouth.

What he is usually known to wear is rather stylish clothing as he has a fondness for wearing pink. What his outfit consist of is a pink, zipperless hoodie that is split down the middle, the fabric quite thin, the back falling just pass the belt loop while both sides of the front reach down to his mid thigh in a sort of angular position. The hood is usually kept left down due to his mane of hair. The hoodie has no sleeves at all, looking to be manually torn off by the sleeves to leave a tattered appearance. Under the hoodie, he wears a rose red, short sleeve T-shirt that matches his eye color to a tee, the hem reaching just lower than his belt loop of his black, loose fitting jeans, faded to a grey color by both knees. The hem of the pants legs were tucked behind the tongue of his pink sneakers.

Quirk: Yin & Yang - At the back of his left hand, he has the white symbol for Yang almost etched into his skin like a birthmark while the back of his right hand has the black Yin symbol in his skin. When exerted, the Yin property takes an almost ethereal black color that flickers reminiscent to that of Fire. Its exactly the same with his left hand, but it's a holy white color. Split exactly down the middle, this is where his Quirk deviates from one another as they become complete opposites to one another. With his mother being the one that holds a Light Quirk, his left hand wields her power, it capable of being exerted through only the left side of his body. When shot, the energy is volatile, but this isn't the only use for it as it can form into different appendages from the left side of his body such as a single Angel wing, extra arms, tentacles and balls of energy. His right hand, in appearance, exerts almost the same energy, but in a black color, it serving to provide different things than the other. This side is capable of crafting weapons such as swords, hammers, and axes.

Name: Hitomi Shirasagi

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Appearance: Taller than her twin brother, Hitomi stands at a 5'10 with the addition of her heels making it 6'0 in total. Her legs are quite long enough to gain attention, having a lean, hourglass build with a modest bust that was enough to gain recognition. Her skin was a honey brown color, clear of any type of scars, blemishes, and anything that would obscure her beauty. What was the most thing noticeable about her was her naturally long, snow white hair that seemed to reflect the sun, it reaching down to her this, cut flat at the bottom. At the bottom, it had a slight curve to both side, pointing forward as if her hair was about to curve around her like a stylish cloak. Her bangs hung just pass her brows, cut flat with a thick side bang on both side of her face hanging down to her shoulders, two inches up the flat cut and being tied by metallic white ribbons to form a bow. Her eyes were on a narrows shape, but didn't show distaste, but more of a disinterest in her lavender irises, light pink lip gloss on her lips with her heart shaped face. In both her forearms are two black rods a piece, sticking from one side to the other.

She wore a paling light yellow, almost white Victorian-style corset dress with a long v-neck and lavender frill linings at the v-neck's edges, this revealing her cleavage. Around neck is a detached collar that matches the color of her dress with a large, lavender laced ribbon tied to resemble a bow; the frills on her sleeves, and the skirt of her dress matching the frills of her v-neck. The skirt was the same color as her dress, reaching just above her knees. She wears boots that match the color of her dress, a downward fold at the top of them, reaching above her ankles with matching yellow gloves that covers everything but her palms. On just her left leg, attached to a golden ring, is fabric that resemble lagging material, lavender in color, reaching just above her boot with it attached to another ring.

Quirk: Amethyst Shock - Her Quirk takes the form of two black rod stuck through the forearm of both the arms and sticking directly out the other side. When it begins to activate, the rods circulate with a purple lightning that trails along the arms of the user and is mainly focused around the rods. Generating atmospheric electricity, the user is capable of absorbing this through the rods on their arms where it can either be stored for later or exerted where she can manually control a purple shade of lightning that is considered by the user as far more dangerous than the normal.
