Part 1
Think of this part as a letter.
My Story
By Yugi Motou
Although I have graduated from high school, I am only 16. I don't think I will live to be 21. That's why I've decided to write a short version of my life story.
I have been constantly in danger, since before I was born. When my mom was 8 months pregnant, she and my dad were in a helicopter crash. The day I was born was the day they died. I went to live with my grandfather on my dad's side because he was my only living family.
Since I was born ahead of schedule, I was always small for my age. Skipping a couple grades as soon as I started school didn't help. I have been lying about my age for years.
I was always bullied, and didn't have any friends, until high school. Then a girl started standing up for me, and became my friend. I hoped we would become more than friends. I helped 2 guys who picked on me deal with someone who was picking on them, and they became my friends. I met another guy, who became like an older brother to me. Most people thought he was me. We shared almost everything, and helped each other. After I started dueling professionally, it became easier for me to make friends. The last guy is gone now, but, before he left, he left me a very important gift, which I discovered after he was gone.
I hope this story explain things. I choose to end my story here.
Sincerely,
Yugi Motou

Part 2
Think of this part as a story being told by a narrator or news reporter.
After Yugi Motou wrote that letter, he made 5 copies of it, put each copy in an envelope, and put a name on each envelope: Grandpa Solomon Motou, Mokuba and Seto Kaiba, Joey Wheeler, Tristan Taylor, and Tea Gardner. That night, he mailed each copy, and then disappeared. To this day, Yugi Motou has still not been found, despite Seto Kaiba's promise to use KaibaCorp's resources to search for him, until he is found.
In the front yard of the Kaiba mansion, there is a statue of the Dark Magician with an inscription on it. The inscription says 'In honor of Yami Yugi, the King of Games'. Many people do not understand what the inscription means.
Shortly after Yugi Motou's disappearance, local Duel Monsters tournament officials all over the world not only started seeing newcomers entering their tournaments, but winning them. When the tournament officials asked these newcomers why they thought they won, most of them said something along the lines of, "Because I believe in the heart of the cards." Yugi Motou's legacy continues to this day.
(I leave it up to the readers of this story to guess about Yugi Motou's fate.)
