True Love
When you are on a broom ride she holds on tight.
You point to the brightest star and say that now it is hers.
From here until eternity and as you hand her your gift; you see into her eyes and can finally feel the love,
Days come and go. You take her out on a picnic in a beautiful garden. You pick the most beautiful flowers you can find. As you hand them to her; you look into her eyes. You feel it and finally can say I Love You.
A few months pass by. You take her to a romantic restaurant. There she sees a chair for her and a chair for you at a beautifully decorated table for two. You have dinner and dessert; now you know it is time. You go down on one knee and ask her will you marry me and be mine for now and always. She says yes and that's when you fell it, that's when you say it, that's when you see it; All the love in her eyes.
Now it is time for the wedding. You have said your I Do's knowing each time you're really saying I love you. It is now the reception and you look at all your guests and think to yourself. How lucky can I be; I have the girl of my dreams and friends to last a lifetime. I am the richest man alive. Then you look at her; that's when you feel it. That's when you know it. That's when you say it. That's when you see it. That's when you show it with a kiss that contains all the passion and love in your heart.
A few years have gone by and you have your own family. The two youngest are in bed and the oldest child is resting her head. She doesn't notice what's going on as you sit on the couch. You look at your wife and she looks right back at you. That's when you feel it. That's when you say it. That's when you see it. That's when you show it. All the love in your heart.
As you put the oldest child to bed. You both say together: "" So this is what love is." As I look from afar all I can say is: " Yes this is what love is.
"
