Axel's hands slid down the soft expanses of silver white flesh. The pale body beneath him shuddered and sighed with contentment even if they both knew it wouldn't last long.

Thin hands reached up to thread through the fire mage's spiky hair, and pulled his head down into soft kisses almost reminiscent of a feeling neither could quite describe.

Somewhere far off the clocktower struck an hour. It didn't matter which as The World That Never Was had no night nor day.

The shorter man nudged Axel's body off of him and sat up.

"Going so soon?"

"I have to go fight. I told you before."

"You still haven't told me who."

"You'll get angry."

"Don't be silly. I'd need a heart for that, and you're the only one of us who has one."

"No, I lost mine a long time ago."

"It was stolen."

"How would you know?"

"We're the same."

Blue-green glass eyes shot Axel a playful glare. "Sora," he said "is worlds different than Roxas." Axel grinned at that. "And once I beat him, I'll finally get what I want."

"wait, you're fighting-"

"Roxas."

Axel's featured hardened, and his mouth turned to a scowl. "You bas-"

"Relax. I'm doing this for you too." The man placed one last kiss on Axel's lips. "Good bye Number Eight. It's been fun."

Axel said nothing as Riku open a portal and stepped through. Confusion and anger both flitting across his face. he stood there for a moment before the impact of the situation finally hit him. "I have to find Roxas..."
