Author's Note: Welcome to a DJammy one-shot. This one is based on an actual conversation I had with a (platonic) friend of mine, but I figured would work with these two adorable people.

Summary: Sammy just finished watching the series finale of How I Met Your Mother and is not happy. She rants to her boyfirend, who is doing all he can not to laugh in her face.

"That's it?" Sammy said with a shocked face. She'd just finish watching the finale of her favorite comedy, How I Met Your Mother and isn't that happy about it.

"What's wrong?" DJ, her boyfriend and roommate of two years asked.

"Ten years," she began. "I invested ten years of my life to this show." She got up and started walking around as she ranted. "I laughed with them. I cried with them. They took a special place in my heart."

By now, DJ had figured out what show she was talking about. The former cheerleader spent every Thursday watching the show and Heaven help anyone who tried to disturb her. He knew just how much she was looking forward to finally seeing the end, and by the look on her face she may wish she hadn't. He just hoped she couldn't see the grin on his face.

"Ten freaking years!" She didn't really say 'freaking' which surprised him and didn't help with trying not to laugh at his lady love.

"And you know how he's been telling the story to their kids? Guess what? They're just his kids! Because the mother is dead! The whole show was just a way for him to ask if it was ok if he dated Robin!"

He really hoped she would stop soon, he couldn't pretend to clear his throat forever and he really didn't want to laugh at her.

"I spent ten years just to see him get with the girl he met in the first episode!" She threw her hands up in the air and stormed to their bedroom. "I'm writing that station and letting them know just how I feel about this!"

She slammed the door to the room and he finally felt safe enough to let out his laughter. He spent a good minute and a half doubled over when he heard, "And what are you laughing at?!"

Oh shit.
