Nothing's Like Before

Sora walked around his old island home. "I can't believe it's been two years. . . I wonder if she's still here. . ."
*You're giving me too many things, lately*

Kairi was in the secret place. She set her hand on the drawing of Sora.
*You're all I need*

Donald and Goofy came up, "You ready to go, Sora?"
" No, there's one more place I have to see. . ." Sora walked towards the secret place.
*You smiled at me and said:
Don't get me wrong I love you, but does that mean I have to meet your father?*
Sora was about to go in. He stopped himself "Nevermind,"

Kairi stood up. "I should go."
*When we are older you will understand what I meant when I said "no"*
She walked through the tunnel and left.
Sora was on the beach staring at the sunset. "Kairi. . ." He whispered.
*"I don't think life is quite that simple"*
Kairi gasped. She ran to him as he started walking away.
*When you walk away, you don't hear me say, "please, oh baby, don't go"*
"Sora!," Kairi shouted. "Sora don't!"
Sora turned around. "Kairi?" He said in shock.
*Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight. It's hard to let it go*
Kairi stopped and stared at him, tears running down her cheeks. "Hold me. . ."
*Hold me, whatever lies beyond this morning is a little later on. Regardless of warnings, the future doesn't scare me at all.*
Sora held her to him. "I promised you, didn't I?"
*Nothing's like before*
They stood in the sunset, holding each other for a long time.
Donald and Goofy sat at the docks.
Goofy laughed a little before heading towards the gummi ship.
Donald rolled his eyes before joining him.
Sora held Kairi tighter. " I have to go. . ."
" No, you can't leave me alone again, Sora. . ."
" The Keyblade Master and the Key Princess. . . We're together, always. . ." Sora kissed Kairi's cheek. He moved away from her.
"And one more thing. . ." He reached into his pocket and held out his hand. "I love you, Kairi, and I always will." The Oathkeeper rest in his palm.
Kairi stared at it, then at Sora. She hugged him one last time. "Sora, please don't go. . ."
"I'm sorry, Kairi. . ."
Kairi leaned forward. She slipped her hand over his and the Oathkeeper.
Sora's eyes widened. He was frozen in place.
Kairi pressed her lips against his.
Sora, again, had his arms around her.
Kairi stopped. "Hey, Sora. . . you have to remember, I'm not a little girl anymore," She closed his hand with the Oathkeeper in it, " Nothing's like before. . ."
