Ok, a shrunken detective he could deal with. A slightly pissed shrunken detective he could also deal with. But a full blow enraged, about to rip you head off with a soccer ball of death shrunken detective, he could not deal with.
"Can we stop and think for a moment?!" KID ducked as another soccer ball came flying at his face. "PLEASE?!" Conan ignored his plea, instead sending another ball his way, this time grazing his arm. 'Where the hell are all these coming from?! 'KID dodged another 5, bracing himself for the next one, when Conan stopped mid-kick.
"You know what, just go." He turned around, heading back towards the staircase.
"I'm almost afraid to ask, but why?" KID flinched when Conan shot him a death glare, then forcefully shouted,
"Because this is not working!" The detective turned sharply on his heel, marching back to the staircase. 'So I was right', KID looked thoughtfully at Conan, calling out as he placed his hand on the doorknob.
"What are you so mad about?"
"Llamas." Conan retorted, looking over his shoulder. "What do you think?!" 'Right, that whole shrinking poison thing'.
"So, why take it out on me?" KID asked slowly, putting his hands behind his back, throwing them back up as Conan shot him another glare to rival the last one.
"Ok, Ok," KID grinned nervously before continuing "you as least wanna talk about it?" Conan sighed, then turned around.
"What's to talk about?" He asked, gazing at KID intently. Truth be told, he did want to talk about it, he just didn't know where to start.
"Well, um, let's see," KID paused, lightly tapping his chin. "Like, why didn't you take it out on a nice brick wall?"
"Oh I don't know," Conan's eye twitched. "Maybe because there's innocent bystanders?"
"And im not? OK, forget I said that." KID quickly added when Conan flicked open the tranquiller watch. "Why don't we sit and talk about it?" KID suggested "it usually helps." He added as an afterthought.
"Fine, whatever." Conan followed the thief to the middle of the moonlight roof, plopping down next to him. The science dragged on till Conan finally broke it.
"What would you do if you were forced into my position?" KID blinked a little surprise at the question.
"Well, I would probable tell Jii-Chan and mom," KID paused, thinking. "And most likely say I was going to mom in America, not knowing when I would be back, but I defiantly wouldn't stop steeling. "
"Do you like it that much?" Conan asked, smirking when KID looked at him flustered.
"N-no, I just." He sighed. "I'm looking for something important." Conan looked at him thoughtfully then looked away.
"Guess that makes it both of us then." KID looked at Conan, confused.
"What do you mean bo-"
"Never mind." Conan cut him off, looking the other way. KID shrugged. The silence lapsed on till KID broke it.
"So, how's Ran doing?"
"Fine." It grew silent again, this time a little awkward.
"KID I-" Conan was cut off as the door to the roof flew open, and Nakamori stood in the frame, with the rest of the police force, all covered in glitter.
"KID!"
"Gotta go." KID stood, shooting a last grin at Conan. "We'll finish this later, right?" He tossed the gem he had stolen at him, not waiting for an answer and then jumped off the building, opening his hang glider. Conan watched him fly off till he disappeared, a small smile on his lips. 'He was right' he thought. 'It did help'
"Conan!" Ran lifted the small boy up, squishing him in a death hug. "I was so worried!"
"Ran…"Conan tried to squirm out, then stopped, spotting a figure cloaked in white, standing in the office corner, grinning. Conan's eyes narrowed, a KID's grin widened.
"Told you we'd finish." He mouthed as Ran carried Conan up the stairs. (with him following of course)
