A/N: I am very excited for this rewrite of Perfect Storm! I am also hoping that you all will like it, but there are a few things that have changed from the original. First, Lori will be dressing as a male for a short while, something that a few other girls choose to do in her line of work, as you will see below. Her line of work is between good and bad, meaning they take both assassination and bodyguard jobs. During her time as her male counterpart, she will be called Jamie. Jeri will be known as Jasper and will be a male.

The ninja will be featured in the next chapter, or chapter three, as this one will have a bit of action and suspense. The ninja that will possibly be shown are as follows; Shisui, Itachi, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Kushina, Mikoto, Tobirama, Madara, Danzo and some of his anbu that will remain in the shadows as he orders.

PreFace.

"New Deal." The confidence in the tainted maiden's voice betrayed the thrill of fear rushing through her veins as her ever-beating heart raced along with its blood counterpart. Those beautiful, mesmerizing blue eyes caught his former lover's legs wobbling with each passing second. The same eyes that used to bewitch her.

"What deal, my dear?" His tone was mocking, her confidence sinking slowly to the bottom of her feet. "I remember when I broke your heart, you were so miserable and meek. Don't tell me that you actually believe you can call the shots? You're in no position to make demands."

"Actually, I am." A sliver of outlines moved against the moonlight, slipping out from the shadows they molded with just moments before. They surrounded the clearing, just like she knew would happen. Though alone, she had to make the deal. Other lives depended on it. "You see, I have some dirt on your boss, and I am sure you wouldn't want that information going anywhere." Footsteps were creeping up from behind, several of them. "But with one button," Holding out her phone she prepared to send the link to the information to A.O.S.I. "Your boss will be ruined and my father safe."

"You really believe that? You might want to think again." A smirk formed on his pale features, but he didn't realize he had pulled a certain card that would change the tide that the blood spilled. The joker. The Angel of Death swooped in to claim a soul tainted by the shadows. Just as she was sure that the Sisters of Fate would cut her own string of life, it seemed that fate had its own hand to reveal as a gold chain spun its way towards them.

The gold thread snagging the grim reaper, preventing him from laying claim to the life that deserved it, and instead tugging its captors into the dark depths of the night. Relief and agony rose up once more in her heart when fate's pawns seeped out from the shadows.

"So, will you forgive me, sweetheart?" The blue eyed devil smugly smiled.

"I will consider it…" The look on the devil's face triumphant, knowing that the female before him would eventually give in and forgive him. "When Jasper forgives you, my friend rises from the dead, and hell freezes over. Until then let's hope you do more good than harm, John."

Chapter One

The moon blended in with the blanket of ebony that the night had borne, the sliver of twilight being banished as the darkness corrupted the sky. What little people were out among the streets didn't even look up at the buildings before them, for if they had they still wouldn't have noticed Sienna at the rain-streaked office window, her forehead pressed against the frosty glass.

"Do you understand what your contract is?" Her boss asked his entry level agent.

"Protect the boy, escort him, make sure he is safe and guard him against any threat. Keep my identity as his bodyguard a secret, even from him." Sienna's reply was tense, her chest expanding with another inhale of oxygen that she so desperately needed. "I understand perfectly, Sir."

"And if you find out that he knows too much, you are to kill him." The words were as cold as the night air and still chilled her to the bone even as she walked outside the room. Feeling the breath she was holding slip out of the confines of her lungs she leaned against the back of the door, ignoring the feeling of eyes boring through the thick metal doors. Wasn't she just hired to protect the girl? None of this made any sense. If she did know too much, they could always erase the memories with the extraction. Could her boss have a personal grudge against her client?

Finally setting her body in the lukewarm water of the bathtub, dots of stretch marks decorating her hips with fresh angry scratches adorning the creamy skin her left hand, both arms and two on her midsection. The wounds were shallow and would heal decently within a week or so, but right now all she wanted was some R&R. She would need all the relaxation she could get before she met her new contractor. "Jasper Casio… I wonder just how troublesome it will be to guard you." From the details as to why she was to guard the young man, it would prove to be very tiring. Glancing over to the bathroom counter a simple chain bracelet lay with a single charm attached to it.

"Here." The child held out the shiny trinket, an insignia that was all too interesting. "It's a sign of our friendship, just as long as you promise to meet me here tomorrow. Okay?" The younger girl's eyes shimmered against the setting sun, little flecks of brown standing out against the forest of green. "I'm…." She couldn't remember what the child's name was for the life of her. "What is your name?" The choir of crickets coming to life at the break of dusk filled the air, the glow of fireflies dancing around the vicinity, illuminating the area around them in flashes of yellow.

Accepting the gift, decent eyes of burnt sienna flickered up to meet the friend's, mesmerized by the sweet actions.

The girl's father called his child's name, catching the young child's attention. "…It's time to go!" As twilight began to consume the park the child turned back to her new friend.

"Remember, we meet here tomorrow. Same time." Running off to her parent, her father's dark gaze catching hers. "Where's your parent, little one?" Shuffling her feet, the rusty haired girl directed her gaze to the ground.

"They are at work." The father frowned at her words. "I wanted to get out of the house, so I kind of snuck out…" She knew she was caught from the moment he questioned her. Glancing up her rusty eyes began to water. She didn't want to get in trouble and her parent was already under a lot of stress. She just wanted to play with other kids.

Patting her head the father smiled. "Don't worry, I won't tell. I know what it was like to be young once." His voice was like a fresh breath of spring. So gentle and sweet, the way winter could be as the snow landed on the ground to be covered in a blanket of white. "Come on, I'll take you home. A kid shouldn't go anywhere this close to night." Ushering his child inside the yellow cab he turned to his child's friend as his own began to draw pictures on the chilly, wet glass.

"What is your name?" Giving a small smile the girl met his dark, almost black eyes. "My name is…"

With mesh chest binder short corset sports bra, her chest was now more akin to that of a man's. The button up shirt was a stark ivory paired with a dark vermillion tie. The trousers she adorned were khakis and the blazer she wore concealed her firearm. The dark tresses of her hair was cropped short and straight and thus, her true identity was sealed away like the letters of two secret lovers.

At long last, she was standing outside room four, the same room that her contractor resided in. He went to the University of Toronto, Mississauga located in Ontario, Canada. Knocking lightly on the door, her grey gloves protecting her from the previous cold air she was in, and preventing others from seeing the scratches. Opening the door, a tall lanky man revealed himself, his skin was tanned a light bronze. His hair black, so black it almost looked blue in the glare of the light and his eyes a smooth chocolate. "Hello?" His voice was mellow, very calm yet still held a type of energetic vibe to it.

"Are you ready to go?" His eyes were confused at first before turning into a spark of realization. Rushing back into the apartment he returned shortly with his bag.

"Yeah, I forgot that I'd be getting to know the son of one of my dad's friend's." Holding out a large hand his female 'college mate' wrapped her delicate fingers around his palm with a kind grip. "I'm Jasper by the way. Jasper Casio." His face flushed, a light coating of sweat lacing his hands.

"Jamie," She replied. The slight pang of disappointment filled her chest as she realized this was not the little girl she had met several years ago. Would she ever even be able to meet him again? She didn't even have his name. Just an image of his cheerful laughter burned into the back of her memory.

"Hey, where is your bag?" Halfway closing the door as he stepped out his arm hesitated to fully shut the door. "I- I can let you borrow one of mine, I still have my old one." Shaking her head in response Hazel pulled the door closed. It seemed this was to be the most socially awkward of her clients.

"It's okay. I actually don't have school today, but I'd like to go with you to get to know the area." It wasn't a total lie. She would be done with college this year and was taking online classes, but she didn't know the United States well. She didn't even know where the university was in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. "I was hoping I could get a look at the school and maybe you could show me around later?" Of course, this was just a way to protect her client without him knowing.

"Sure." Jasper whispered, his footsteps matching hers as they finally walked out of the building, the walk to the bus stop wasn't that far either, just down the street to turn right at the corner. "So, how was the trip?" The bus screeched to a halt as it stopped in front of them.

"Wasn't all that bad. A little tiring." Stepping on to the bus and sliding herself into a seat Jamie looked at the young man now sitting beside her. "Why are you so nervous?"

The boy's eyes shifted to the ceiling. "I don't really socialize all that much… So this is really hard for me." His face became even brighter than it had before, his heat filtering through the space between them.

"So you're not a social butterfly, that's fine." Watching the vehicles pass outside her window Jamie promptly let the conversation drop, enjoying the scenery instead. Feeling her pants pocket for her special item the hard metal could be felt underneath the fabric. One day, she would find her, if it was the last thing she ever did.

"Do… Do you like books?" Turning her attention back to him she gave a curt nod. "Mystery books are great." Appreciating the attempt to make things less awkward she gave in.

"Especially once they are usually filled with suspense. Those are my favorite."

The University of Toronto was a sight. The outside most like an old castle atop a large plot of lush, green land. "I'll show you to the registration office." Jasper's voice was a kind, easy baritone, his hand grasping hers in a grip as equally generous. The inside of the near replica of hogwarts castle it was a mixture of modern and old, classy and elegant, yet simple, keeping the old history of the fine stone walls. Instead of broad letters plastered on the walls indicating what lies inside each room, the letters were embedded in smooth double glass doors decorated in a deep bronze.

REGISTRATION OFFICE.

STUDENT ACCOUNTS.

FINANCIAL AID OFFICE.

It took but moments to process the letters before her, not quite as easy to read English as it was to speak it. "You go through here to process your documents and register, then you might want to go to the financial aid office to get loans, scholarships, and grants." The near blue haired man's advice was helpful, or it would have been if she didn't already do this a few times in Germany.

"Thank you, Jasper." She made sure to keep her voice clean of any high pitches, though she could always say she was a late bloomer if she slipped up. Or that she breathed in a slight bit of helium. Maybe.

Just as Jasper whisked the door open to lead Jamie in, a young man about the same age walked into the entrance of the towering wooden doors, his face pale and the dim light bouncing off his wet skin. Raising a hand to her mouth and widening her eyes in shock, the dark haired girl flung herself at the back of the unsuspecting Jasper, throwing him a few feet into the registration office. The only thing running through her mind was nothing as her body took over with the advanced training she had received: protect the client at all costs.

It felt like pins and needles invading her chest, a sharp impact coming right after and winding her as if she had been punched in the right side of her lung and sending her gasping for breath. Blood pouring down her lips as she began to breathe her last breaths, her body writhing around on the ground in complete agony as the punch to her chest soon came again. This time, however, the last sight she would see would be that of the active shooter and Jasper's tears of shock pouring down his chiseled face. Her lungs no longer filling with air, the shooter turned his advances on those in the registration office.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed the first chapter, I enjoy writing and one thing I learned from writing is if the plan doesn't work, change the plan, but never the goal. Not everything needs to be perfect, yeah there will be mistakes. There will be changes to the plot whether you're writing an essay, a thesis, or just a fanfiction, but as long as you have one main goal or have one particular scene you want to show the world, then it will eventually flow together. Now, back to one of the main points of this author's note…

You all get to decide who will be featured in say chapter two or three! Yes. You read right. You get to decide, but I will definitely be keeping Danzo in the plot as he one awesome villain, though for more heroic reasons or good intentions (Maybe?) and there may be Orochimaru thrown in because let's be honest, he would be a great villain. He loves experiments and knowledge. Other than that, feel free to vote in the comments or by PMing me. Don't forget to leave a review!

The ninja that you can vote on are as follows; Shisui, Itachi, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Kushina, Mikoto, Tobirama, Madara, Tsunade, and if you have any more you would like to choose feel free to write their names down.
