A/N: This is for you all, proving to everyone that doubted that I do, in fact, live. Happy reading.

A ragged and very loud sigh escaped the second she was out the door.
Pacing, yes, that was the name of the game. That, and twisting her new earbobs until they nearly fell out.
Dom laughed where he stood, arms folded on his chest, and leaning against the doorframe where he had followed her. His laughter provoked her and she whirled, stabbing him in the chest with her finger, "You can't do things like that!"
His eyes danced, "You seemed to enjoy it."
"That's not the point!" she screeched back as his smile widened.
With an uncontrollable grin, "What is then?"
She stabbed him harder this time, "That you shouldn't go around kissing people on dance floors in the middle of balls!"
"Why ever not? I don't think they minded that much - at least if the way Neal winked at me was any indication…"
"Why not?" she spluttered, "Because I'll never live it down, they'll be teasing me about it for years!"
Dom smiled warmly, "Well what's wrong with that?"
"It's embarr- You're doing it right now! Stop it!" she smacked him on the arm.
He laughed again, and then drew her up close to him, making her breathe in very quickly. He chuckled more, relishing how her eyes could grow so wide so quickly, "You know what I think?"
"Huh?" Kel was still having trouble breathing normally - and being unable to drag her eyes away from Dom's made the task doubly as troublesome.
"Secretly," he began, smoothing a hand down her hair, "I think you don't despise it as much as you say. In fact, I think you like it."
An argumentative and bubbly, "Hah," issued weakly from her mouth, "That's ridic- Why would I-?" She didn't finish that thought, as Dom had found it an appropriate time to interrupt - this time, by kissing her… and suddenly the most extraordinary feeling was fluttering away in her stomach, robbing her of any previous thoughts.
Once he had drawn away again, she could only smile (as he was) in a soft comparison to his wide grin. She laughed at her own folly, "That would just be ridiculous."
