A/N: poofs in Hey look... I'm not dead. Well, happy upcoming 2006 to you all, I hope you'll stick to your resolutions like Kel and Dom do...
---------------------------------------------------

"Dom?"

"Yes, Kel?"

She shuffled closer to him, "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Kel," he turned, smiling at her, "But I've already been told today, by a very drunk Wolset, that I was the most handsome creature he'd ever seen."

She smiled lopsidedly, "I don't know if I can top that."

He crossed his arms, "Well you'll have to try; I'm rather in the mood for being flattered, Kel." He smirked openly as she blushed, flustered by him.

She raised her arms in the air and let out a ragged breath, "You - uggh!"

"What?" he raised him palms innocently, "What'd I do?"

Beet red, Kel crossed her arms, "Nothing."

"Oh come on," he leaned closer to her.

She shook her head, "You just don't get it."

"Keeeeeelllll," he wheedled, "Please?" His eyes went wide as Kel suddenly grabbed his collar and pulled him even closer, crashing her lips against him. Once she let him go, he straightened, blushing, and brushing invisible dust off his tunic. Completely flabbergasted, he finally coughed out an, "Oh…"

After some minutes of perplexed contemplation, Dom finally seemed to grasp what had just occurred: "What was that?"

Kel, though embarrassed, had decided now that she had actually kissed Dom she would not leave until things were sorted out. Keladry was not the sort of person to create a scandal, and then run from it. Plus, she was interested in what he might say…

"A Midwinter's resolution I made for myself." she told him honestly.

"Oh really?" Dom crossed his arms, "What if I was to say I'd made a resolution to do the very same?"

Kel gaped at this, "Well…" She had hoped for something of this kind to occur, but now that it had found her she didn't know what to say or do. 'Get a hold of yourself, Kel!' her mind seemed to scream. Accustomed to taking orders, her mind immediately obeyed and she smirked, "Well, then, I'd think I was more dedicated to these sort of things than you seem to be."

"You! You really think so, huh, Mindelan?" the question came out as something of a challenge. She just quirked an eyebrow in response, smirk still upon her face.

Dom's eyes twinkled something dangerous, and a wolfish grin appeared upon his face. "I would beg to differ."

"Uhh, Dom…" Kel, took a step back, afraid of the look in his eye, and turned to run from him.

Dom, of course, let her get only a step away before catching her wrist, swinging her around to face him, and kissing her hard. When they broke apart this time Dom was grinning and Kel was out of breath from shock.

"Well, Lady Mindelan, you may have beaten me to one resolution, but I can beat you to another."

"Oh, and what exactly is that?"

"To say this to you," his large hand came to the side of her face, and he gently pushed some stray hair behind her ear. He made sure she was looking into his eyes before taking a large breath and continuing. "Keladry of Mindelan, I love you."
