Blaise Zabini knew that he wanted to propose to the girl that he had been seeing for the last eighteen months. He also knew exactly how he wanted to propose so he made sure that it happened. He would do whatever he had to in order to get the outcome that he wanted more than he wanted his next breath. He took a deep breath and looked around the beach once more. He couldn't have been happier that Harry had been able to help him set everything up.
He looked up at the night sky and smiled at all the stars that were shining down on him. When he heard his name called he turned on his heel and walked to the girl that owned him mind, heart, body, and soul. He took her hand and bent his head down slightly to graze a kiss across her knuckles. "Thank you for meeting me here, Susan. I would have come to pick you up myself, but I really needed to make sure that everything was perfect for you."
Susan blushed even as she smiled. She really loved Blaise with her whole heart. If she were honest with herself and him she had fallen for him shortly after they had started dating during their last year at Hogwarts. "I understand, Blaise. What are we doing here? We've already had dinner."
Blaise chuckled as he led her over to the blanket that he had spread on the sand. He wanted to make sure that she was as comfortable as possible. He waited until he saw that she was no longer moving around on the blanket before he sat down next to her and pulled her into his arms. "I wanted some alone time with the young woman that I love, Susan. I thought that you and I could enjoy a night looking up at the starry sky."
Susan grinned as cuddled into Blaise's side and looked up at the starry sky. She sighed in contentment as she laid her head on Blaise's shoulder. "It is a beautiful night. It's been a while since the stars have been so clear in the skies. I love you too, Blaise."
Blaise kissed Susan on the head and then shifted. He waited until she was sitting up before he moved and knelt down in front of her. He took in a deep breath and let it out as he stared into her eyes. "Susan, I love you more than I thought I could ever love someone else. You have become my world and I would do anything for you. You are my light in the dark. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife? Will you marry me?"
Susan's whole face lit up as she threw herself at Blaise. She didn't care that she was getting sand on him, her, and everywhere. She kissed him with all the passion and love she felt for him. When she broke the kiss so that they could both breathe she grinned down at him. "I'll marry you, Blaise. I would love nothing more than to be your wife!"
Blaise grinned and lifted his head to capture Susan's lips in a deep kiss. When he pulled back he twisted so that they were both laying on the blanket looking up at the starry sky. He couldn't help but think that he would never forget this moment for as long as he lived.
