Hey guys! Admin here. So, if you couldn't already tell from the description, this is a Revolutionary War AU of The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. Now, I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes and lack of profanity. My friend is helping me edit this. This will, most likely, take a long time to finish. Now, ON WITH THE STORY!

Ponyboy's POV:

Growing up in the new world is hard.

You might be wondering something like, "Well, it couldn't have been THAT bad... Right?" or something along those lines. Well, you're wrong, especially when there's rumors of war. See, the British are starting to get more corrupt. The taxes are going crazy, and we're craving independence. Rumors of war against the Red-coats are flying around. The Red-coats are the police, but they're all bad cops. So, if war does come, then sign my brothers, maybe the rest of us, and I up.

My older brother, Darrel, or Darry, used to be top of his class. Now, he's the closest thing I have to parents after our mother and father died. My second oldest brother, Sodapop, used to be in school for something too, but he eventually stopped going, thinking he was too dumb. Now, he works at some first classer's stables.

Darry and I fight all the time. Reason being, he has to continually bother me to "Use my brain for once," and Soda, as I call Sodapop, has to step in to prevent us from killing each other.

Oh, and maybe while I'm talking about my brothers, I should mention the rest of our friends. There's Johnny, the son of the couple that operates a dirty, but nearby tavern. He's the least dangerous of us, and he would never hurt a fly. We try to protect him from his parents to the best of our abilities, since they either don't notice him, or they beat him.

Two-Bit Matthews, or Two-Bit, is the oldest of our group. He's the kind of person who's funny, smart, and tough all rolled into one package. He works as a blacksmith.

Steve is Soda's best friend. He's smart, cocky, and he loves carriages. Fixing them, driving them, anything. He works at the stables with Soda, and he doesn't like it whenever I'm there.

Dallas, or Dally, is my least favorite of the group. He's a criminal. Nothing else to it. He steals, he gets into fights, he's probably a male prostitute, he tries to get into trouble.

We're some of the Revolutionaries. We're going to fight for our land and freedom. We're also going to make sure that the Loyalists and Red-coats get what they deserve.

So, how did you like this chapter? Very, very short, it's not that good, and it might not make sense yet. I know, but this was more of an introduction chapter. I hope you guys like this story. If you do, then smack that favorite button, and comment some positive feedback or puns. Otherwise, I might delete this, though I'm sure you wouldn't care. This was originally posted on my Wattpad.
