-Grossberg Law Offices-
Today, I realised something. Lawyers need more recognition.
Why do I say this, you may ask? Because today was my first case as a defence attorney. It really isn't as easy as it looks.
For one, I was facing Franziska von Karma, who is notoriously violent in the Courtroom.
Secondly, Mr Grossberg, my boss, told me I was too young to get a case.
Thirdly, paperwork.
But I also found out that it's easy to get a job after you win a few trials. That's what got me to where I am today. I won a debate against a teacher at Harvard, so I decided I would try to be a lawyer.
Although the details of my first case were gruesome, it was still pretty fun to argue my client's innocence.
"Alison! You've got a call!" Elise said, her voice echoing throughout the small office we inhabited from 9 to 5.
"Okay, Elise!" I yelled back. "There in a sec!"
I quickly walked down the hallway towards the office which Elise and James shared. I had to shared an office with the other rookies, such as Bianca Venis and Trent Marz.
She handed me the phone, before walking off.
"Hello?" I said into the receiver.
I was shocked to discover that this was actually Miles Edgeworth.
"Yes, hello."
"…Uhh…if you don't mind me asking…why'd you call me at the office?" I asked, nervous.
"I simply wanted to…congratulate you on your victory earlier." He said in a casual tone. "But I also want to warn you. Don't join Fey and Co. Law Offices."
"Why?" I asked.
"Just don't."
With that, he hung up.
I put the phone down.
What did he mean?
I knew that Mia Fey had left the Grossberg Law Offices a few years ago and that she established her own law firm, but why would Mr Edgeworth warn me?
I wandered back to my desk, not exactly in tune with what was going on.

-Detention Centre-
Today I saw Mia Fey and what looks like her newest student.
"Hello Mia!" I said cheerfully. "How are you?"
"Oh!" she smiled. "I'm doing great, Alison!"
"And who's this?" I asked.
He spoke. "I'm Phoenix Wright."
He looked a little older than I was, probably 22-23.
I was 19 at the time, young, naïve and according to Trent, quite pretty.
I smiled at him. "I'm Alison Carver."
"Alison…oh! I've heard Mia talking about you." Phoenix said brightly.
"She has, has she?" I raised an eyebrow. "What type of things has she said?"
"Only that you're a really good attorney." He shrugged.
"…I'm also only 19." I muttered. "Not that that matters anyway…"
