The first time it happened, she actually thought it was quite funny.

"Wanda, I have come to inform you that—"

Wanda leapt up with a yelp at the unexpected sound of a voice, whirling around and ready to fight. Much to her surprise, she found Vision halfway through the wall of her room, staring at her curiously.

"Vision! Oh my—what are you doing?"

"I merely wished to inform you that Mister Wilson has brought back Chinese for lunch, and I wondered if you might be hungry. I hope I did not cause a disturbance."

"Has nobody taught you how to use doors?" Wanda asked. "Knocking?"

Vision tilted his head. "No, I do not believe anyone has mentioned that."

"You knock on the door before entering a room. You don't phase through walls."

"Is she hungry or what?" Sam's voice drifted faintly from downstairs.

"Coming!" Wanda called. "Come on, Vis. I'll teach you more about it later."

The second time it happened, Wanda was far from amused.

Humming some tuneless melody, she stepped from her bathroom, wrapped only in a towel. Padding across to her bed, she dropped the towel on her bed as she began donning her clothes.

"Wanda, I—"

"Vision!" she screeched, whirling around. "What are you doing?"

The synthezoid had just finished phasing through her door. "I came to ask if—"

"You're supposed to knock!" she screamed, grabbing up the towel to cover herself.

"Yes, I did knock. Then I came in," Vision said, completely oblivious.

"You're supposed to wait for a response," Wanda hissed, her face rapidly reddening.

"You did not mention that before."

"Vision, I'm naked!"

"Oh..." Vision blinked rapidly several times, processing this new information. "Oh." For the first time, he really looked at her, clutching the towel tightly to herself, her face red as it could possibly be. "Oh…er…I'm…" Unable to find any words to properly apologize in the midst of his mortification, he simply dropped through the floor.

Tony looked up as Vision floated into the kitchen. "What's up? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"Mister Stark, I do believe I have made a grievous error."

"What's that?" Tony queried, taking a swig of his coffee.

"I may have walked in on Miss Maximoff while she was in a state of…undress."

Tony spluttered on his coffee, coughing hoarsely to rid his airway of the liquid he had inhaled. "Ooh, buddy, I think you're in for it. How did you manage to do that?"

The synthezoid shifted uncomfortably. "I have not yet grasped social etiquette yet, it seems."

Tony narrowed his eyes. "Did you do the walking-through-the-wall thing again?"

"I knocked first."

Tony groaned in despair.

Wanda looked up as she heard a timid knock at her door. It was several hours after the "incident", and she had not seen or heard anything from Vision. At least she was dressed and alert this time. "Come in?"

The door swung open slowly, revealing Vision, his head hung low. Without giving her time to speak, he launched into an apology that had clearly been rehearsed. "Miss Maximoff, I have come to realize that I made a grievous mistake. Mister Stark has informed me that I should have waited for a response despite the fact that I knocked. My entry into your room was extremely premature and at a bad time. I vehemently apologize, and I will no longer phase through walls uninvited. Please forgive me."

He looked so much like a wounded puppy that Wanda couldn't stop herself from smiling. Rising from her bed, she crossed the room to stand in front of him. "I forgive you, Vis."

Blue eyes met brown. "You do?"

"Of course. Everybody makes mistakes."

His lips twitched upward slightly in a relieved smile. "I was afraid you wouldn't."

Wanda laughed. "Staying mad at you is impossible, Vis."

"Vis, we've talked about this!"
