As soon as they entered the barn, Mona pressed Spencer against a wall.
The smaller of the two pressed her lips against Spencer's, who kissed back with an eager hungriness, entangling her hands into the other girl's dark hair, pushing them closer together.
Mona kicked off her heels and stood on her tiptoes to make up for the lost height, cupping Spencer's face and gently pecking the cleft on her chin before moving on to her neck. The tall brunette moaned in response, letting her head roll backwards so that there was more for the small Hawaiian to kiss, whilst holding on to the dark curls even tighter.
At some point, Mona had lost her designer top and was now unbuttoning Spencer's blouse. With each new opening of the shirt, the smaller girl pressed a kiss to the young Hastings chest, as if she were the most precious things to ever be touched.
Gasping, Spencer let one of her hands trail down Mona's face, letting her fingers touch the beautiful smooth skin.
"You're so tiny," she breathed. "And I love you."
Suddenly, Mona froze. Spencer could feel the other girl's warm breath just an inch below the cleft of her bra, slowly accelerating as she pushed herself away from spencer, the hurt visible in her eyes.
"You said that to Aria once," the petite Hawaiian stated matter-of-factly, so that Spencer almost flinched at the lack of surprise or accusation in her voice.
"Mona," she started, but was soon interrupted.
"I should have known better," she murmured, more to herself than to Spencer. "I should have known. Aria is perfect for you." She paused, and the silence almost broke Spencer's heart. "Aria never hurt you. Aria would never hurt you."
"I'm sorry, I-" Spencer tried, but Mona cut her off again.
"I should go."
Just as the petite girl reached down to the floor for her top did Spencer react.
Gently, she pressed a kiss on the petite girl's forehead and used her thumb to wipe away the single tear that Mona had let escape.
"Do you love Aria?" The smaller girl whispered in such an un-Mona like matter.
"Of course," Spencer replied without hesitation. "But only as a friend. Not the way I love you."
"Did you ever want her to be more than a friend?"
The question caught the tall brunette off guard. Startled, she opened her mouth to deny that she'd ever had feelings for her artsy bestie, but closed it again, deciding that she wasn't going to lie to the person who mattered most to her.
"We were juniors. I guess I just moved on when I found out about her and Ezra."
Mona grabbed her purse and turned towards the door.
"Please," Spencer called. "Listen to me. I'm sorry. I don't know why I said that."
Cautiously, as if she were afraid of the answer, the other girl asked, "Have you ever forgiven me? For what I've done to you?"
Noticing that the petite brunette wouldn't look her in the eye, Spencer took a step forwards, put her hands behind Mona's head and pulled her towards her, crashing their lips together.
"Does this answer your question?" Spencer breathed into her former tormentor's dark curls.
With a weak smile, Mona pulled away, put on her jacket and left the barn, barefoot.
A/N: ok so I know this is extremely random and about as relevant to anything as Shower Harvey is… but it's Spona so I guess I decided to publish it anyway? Well whatever, here's a cookie (::)
