Chapter 1: May, Bone, and Winter

The light of the sunset shone blood red on the waters of the Seeing Pond. May looked carefully to see if there was a sign or message, all the Seeing Pond showed was an image of ashes blowing in the breeze. She sighed, and slowly walked back to camp. Two warrior-wolves greeted her;

"Greetings, Lady May" said the youngest, a female named Stripe.

"Did you see anything?" said the older one, a male called Battle.

"Just the same thing as yesterday" she answered.

Battle nodded and watched as she walked back into camp, when she got there her vice leader greeted her.

Bone was in human form, he was tall with white-blond hair and crimson eyes.

"Any hints about Winter's prophecy?" he asked.

"Just the same as last time, an image of ashes flying in the breeze!"

"Oh, maybe that hints something, we should tell Winter"

Suddenly, he changed into wolf form, his massive paws crunched in the fresh snow as he walked quickly. They reached a cave.

"Winter, are you there ?!" called May.

A pure white female wolf trotted out, a dazed look in her pale green eyes.

"Hi" said Winter gazing at nothing.

"Err... we need your help deciphering a message" said Bone.

"Oh, OK, but first I had another prophecy dream"

"Really? What was it about?" questioned May.

"I saw a bunch of ashes being scattered in a breeze and a voice kept chanting to me;

'When dusk breaks and dawn returns,

Chaos will come on blood stained paws,

But ash will run on paws of lightning,

and restore order once more'"

Bone noticed that May's eyes had a glimmer of sadness in them but she tried to speak cheerfully;

"I have no clue what that means but we will prepare for it!"

She turned around and ran back to camp, tears flowing from her blue eyes;

"That was wierd... You think it has to do with her past?" asked Winter.

"No clue, but I should head back and check on her" replied Bone.

Meanwhile, May sat in her tent and said softly to herself;

"He's alive...He's alive... but where is he?"
