Caroline huffed angrily at the Original blocking her way.

"Go away."

"Going somewhere, love?" Kol grinned.

"Yes. School. And if you don't get out of my way, I'll be late."

"Awh, and I certainly wouldn't want that, would I?"

Caroline glared furiously and opened her mouth just to close it again mere seconds later, after deciding against lashing out at Kol.

Because to be honest, she was scared of him. Like, really really scared. She was scared of Klaus too, of course, but Kol was... well, different. There was this strange raw power within him, like he could do just about anything without a care in the world.

Caroline wasn't sure if Klaus's little crush on her could save her from this terrifying young man in front of her. She did, however, choose not to test him.

So Caroline did the smartest thing she could think of, and turned away from Kol, intending to walk the opposite direction.

However, she ended up banging right into his chest as he used his super speed to stop her quick escape. Caroline was so surprised she would have fallen down on her ass if Kol's quick hands would not have caught her waist.

"Your chest is really hard, you know." Caroline blurted out before thinking.

Kol smirked and it was only then that Caroline realized how close he really was. His hands were still on her waist and Caroline could not turn her eyes away from his face. His eyes were hypnotising. His face was perfect. She wanted to touch it. Just once.

Kol was watching her with clear amusement in his eyes. While Caroline was still struggling, he lifted one of his hands and gently brushed his fingertip across her cheek, receiving a glum stare from Caroline.

She couldn't believe this. Was this dangerous vampire really stroking her cheek? Maybe she was dreaming.

Kol leaned in closer, his warm breath against her ear causing goose bumps on her skin.

"Well I finally come to understand my brother's obsession with you. But you'd better go to school, or else you'll be late. I'll see you around, darling."

And with that, he was gone.

Caroline was left standing dumbfounded, feeling a little weak in the knees. She touched her fingers lightly to her cheek where Kol's fingertips were resting just a couple of seconds ago and sighed.

She didn't know what to make of this, but for whatever crazy reason, she really did hope she'll see him around too.
