Dear Readers,
I have always suspected that deep within Severus Snape lurked a poet's soul. He was a deep and complex person and he would have needed some sort of outlet for his feelings, due to the fact that he kept them buried most of the time. I plan to write poems from Severus Snape's point of view for this particular part of LaTasha's 100 Visits to Insanity Challenge, as I am bored to death, and in need of inspiration. Hopefully, you enjoy.

Beginning
You were just a child
And so was I
I watched you from afar
Not a doubt in my mind
You were a witch,
One of my own kind.
Your sister was Muggle
And didn't understand
What type of magic
Lay at your own hand.
And so you gave in
To her selfish demands.
I never got courage
To tell you why
I have loved you always
All I could do was cry
And hold you close
That night you died.
O Lily, dear lily
My magical girl
You'll stay with me forever
You're always my world
The only one I've ever loved
Please watch over me from up above.
