Hey! This is my first fanfiction, it's pretty much a one shot about Magnus after the break up.

Everything belongs to my favourite author ever Cassandra Clare!

Don't You Ever Forget About Me

Alicante was beautiful, it always had been. Magnus, being a warlock, wasn't always there, but when he was it was because he needed to be for the Clave. He was standing outside of the hall in tight jeans and a black shirt. He didn't really feel like dressing up that day; lately, all he had been wearing was plain clothes and plain colors. He wasn't really in one of the happier phases of life at the moment. Not only were all the shadowhunters and various downworlders going down to fight in the war, but he was still heartbroken. He had been the one to break things off with Alec, yet he couldn't bring himself to go up to Alec and say what was on his mind.

Alec was always on his mind. Whether it was happy memories or tears of regret, he was always there, lingering in his thoughts. He knew Alec still wanted him but he also knew that making him talk to him wasn't right. And if one of them had to be man enough to deal with it, it was Magnus.

When he entered the hall shadowhunters and downworlders were scattered everywhere preparing for the battle. Some families were crying for their loved ones going out to the war, while others were in full gear sharpening their knifes. Magnus's eyes fell upon a group of young shadowhunters; Jace, Clary, Isabelle... and Alexander. That pain that Magnus felt whenever he thought of Alec shot through him and all he wanted was Alec back in his arms. He longed for the sweet feeling of Alec's lips against his own and their hands clasped together.

Alec and Jace were both in gear and ready to fight. Clary looked worried as she clutched Jace's arm. Isabelle just looked angry, probably because she still wasn't old enough to fight. She had her golden whip despite her inability to fight, while Jace had two seraph blades and Alec had his bow and arrows. The black haired boy got up and said something to the rest of the shadowhunters. Magnus turned away, he couldn't look anymore. He didn't want to fight. He felt weak and contemplated leaving, but was interrupted when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He spun around, coming face to face with the last person he expected to see.

Alec.

His blue eyes were shining as he looked into Magnus's. "Magnus...this may be awkward, but can we, uh, talk?"

Magnus nodded, "Yeah."

They walked outside the hall, "Let me start," Magnus said.

"No," Alec interrupted, "just let me say this."

"Okay."

Alec took a breath, "I just need you to know, what I-what I did to you... you think I did it for selfish reasons..."

"Alec-"

"Please, just don't speak." He told him softly.

Magnus nodded.

"You think I did it for selfish reasons, but I didn't. I did it because I loved you, Magnus. I love you so much. I couldn't stand the thought of us apart, it was driving me insane! I don't even think I went to Camille to do that to you. I think all I wanted was information. Maybe I thought I could do it, but subconsciously I knew I never could. Now, I'm going into this war and both of us know there's a big chance I won't come back, and if I do come back we'll never see eachother again. That may not be a big deal to you, but it is to me. Maybe if I do come out alive, I'll be able to get over you like you got over me. Maybe I'll find somebody new, fall in love again. And you, you'll be alive for a long time after I'm gone. I don't expect you not to date or anything. Just remember, I will never forget about you, Magnus Bane. So even if you do find somebody else," He kissed him softly on the cheek, "Don't you ever forget about me."

Magnus never saw Alec again after that moment, but he never forgot about him.
