Aria curled up on the corner of the couch, sipping her tea and watching the snow fall. Her family had already left for the annual Christmas reunion. She planned to meet up with them after spending Christmas Eve with her friends.

That was before the snow hit. All roads were blocked off and she was stuck in the house alone.

There was a knock at the door, causing Aria to nearly drop her tea. Who would be out in this weather? She put her cup down and walked carefully to the door.

"Who's there?" She asked.

"It's me. Ezra." She breathed a sigh of relief before opening the door. Revealing her boyfriend covered in snow and shivering.

"Ezra." She smiled. "What are you doing here?"

"Well," he replied. "Since neither of us can get to our families this year, not that I wanted to, I figured we could spend Christmas together. Can I come in?" Aria stepped out of the way and let the older man into the house.

"How did you get here?" Aria asked. "The roads are closed."

"I walked." Ezra admitted. He was still visibly shivering from the cold.

"Ezra." She sighed, hugging him. "You're insane." He didn't reply, just leaned into her for more warmth. "Sit down by the fireplace. I'll get you some hot tea and a blanket." She kissed his cheek.

Aria wrapped the blanket around his shoulders and handed him the cup of hot tea.

"I'm sorry you didn't get to spend Christmas with your family." He said as she sat next to him.

"It's the snow that should be apologizing." Aria replied, resting her head on his shoulder. "I get white Christmas but this is just ridiculous." Ezra laughed and kissed her head before going back to his drink.

They sat like that for hours. Talking, laughing, kissing and just being in each other's company.

Aria had fallen asleep on Ezra's shoulder by the time midnight rolled around.

"Merry Christmas." Ezra whispered, kissing her head. "I love you."
