A/N This is my first "complete" fic... sorry if there's any mistakes, english isn't my first language, and sometimes I get somegrammar errors.
It's short but I enjoyed writing it. I hope you like it!
Disclaimer: I don't own CSI, unfortunately /
Grissom stared.
An idea just struck and he wanted to put it in practice. Looking around, he realized she was sound asleep, and would be for a long while.
For hours he worked around the house, wanting to make it perfect. Clue after clue, he slowly made progress to what he hoped would be the best surprise Sara has ever received. Finally, when he was done, he went to wake her up. Avoiding the rest of the house, they made it to the kitchen, and ate in silence. Sara knew something was up, but didn't think about asking Gil just yet. After dinner, he simply handed her a letter, containing nothing but a map of their house. He said he had something for her, but that she was to find it through a treasure hunt.
She was over excited, and immediately started her "hunt", looking like a little girl that just received a visit from Santa. Through the map, she started to figure out where the next lead was. Just to be a little more enigmatic, Grissom decided to write down in each lead, a little riddle, for the joy of seeing Sara try to figure it out. In no time, she had gone from the living room to the bathroom, passing through the backyard and the office, and finally making it to their bedroom. Gil was already there, waiting, with a smile on his face. She went to talk to him, but all he gave was one last clue. She took it, and ran back to the living room, with Grissom right behind her.
She found a tiny folded paper, right under a vase on the coffee table. She was shaking when she finished unfolding it, and when she finished reading it, tears were already coming down her eyes. Grissom stood in the doorway, watching the love of his life shake and stare back at him. She ran to him, kissed him passionately and simply said "Yes". He picked her up, and carried her back to their bedroom, tears now running freely from her eyes. She couldn't believe it.
Left on the floor, in the living room, was a piece of paper. In it, there were only four words… four words that changed their lives forever…
"Will you marry me?"
