From the Depths of the land

Oh, how I urn to be released from my gilded cadge

A cadge that binds me eternally to the sea

Oh, how I long for adventure

To feel the dazzling sun on my pale skin and to play with warm dry sand between my fingers

I'm sick and tiered with my deep blue tale

Sure it's the one the good Lord gave me

God doesn't make mistakes

But I'm tired of being this way

A Mermaid

I wish that I had two legs, two feet and ten toes

So I may walk on solid grounds

Don't get me wrong I love the sea

I love the enchanting songs the whales sing

the colours of the many fish

And I love the relaxing, calm and gentile currents

But I want change

Nay, I need change

I wish to explore the mysterious shore

I wish to meet that man I rescued only last night

I wish to see the depths of the land.
