I really hope you all enjoy this fanfic, of course Harry Potter and anything you recognise is from J.K. Rowling and not me. Enjoy!
Sirius and James were the ones who figured it out. Peter wasn't very observant, he truly believed Remus's mother got ill on a monthly bases, so ill in fact that his father couldn't look after her but instead their twelve year old son needed to home and help. The two had been doing a lot of research, they read every book they could find in the library about werewolf's and were convinced. Their best buddy was a werewolf. At first they had to admit they were a bit nervous, but then they snapped themselves out of it and decided they were absolutely fine with it. They would stay by Remus's side for evermore. What did worry them though was how Remus would react if he knew that they had worked it out. James and Sirius told Peter the next day hoping he would have an idea of how to tell Remus. Peter being Peter, didn't have any ideas. The three thought it was only fair if Remus knew they had figured it out, so that very next day, with no plan at all they told him.

Remus was sitting reading a book in the common room, when a very nervous looking James tapped him on the shoulder.
"Uh Remus?"
"Mhm."
"Could you come up to the dorm, we,umm, wanted to tell you something."
"Sure."
Remus put his bookmark in his book and followed James up to the boys dorm. When he got there, Sirius stood up and closed the door, then when Remus wasn't looking, he locked it, knowing Remus would overreact and do something stupid. Remus sat on his bed and looked expectantly up at his best friends.
"What did you want to tell me."
Remus started to get nervous, why did they all look so scared?
"Guys?"
He asked when nobody answered. "What is it?"
James and Peter glanced at Sirius, who sighed.
"Remus, we know."
Remus felt his heart quicken. They couldn't have figured out about him being a werewolf, could they?
"Know what?"
He made himself say, trying his best to keep his voice steady. If they have figured it out, he knew what happens now.
They would shout at him for lying about being a monster, they would probably beat him up, then they would tell the world. Dumbledore would get chucked into Azkaban for letting a werewolf into the school, he would get executed and his friends would hate him forever.
He had friends, really good friends, for the first time in his life. He couldn't bare to see their hurt faces, hear their angry and upset voices. It would break him to go through that with the marauders.
Sirius took a deep breath.
"We know your a werewolf."
The world came crashing down onto his shoulders. He started to uncontrollably shake and his breathing quickened again, making it sound like he had just run five marathons.
"Remus-"
Sirius started seeing this but cut of when he saw a single tear escape from Remus's eye. Followed by another. And another. Soon Remus gave in trying to fight the tears. One gut wrenching sob after another. He curled up into a ball on his bed trying to stop crying but finding himself unable to. He felt to arms curl around him and lift him into a sitting position and rest him against a shoulder, then two more arms joined them, and another arm started rubbing his back in a soothing motion. Why wasn't he getting attacked? Then a voice met his ears.
"We're not angry Rem, we don't mind, we haven't told anyone and we still want to be friends, this doesn't change anything."
Did he dare believe it to be true?
He slowly lifted his head and opened his eyes.
He found himself surrounded by James, Sirius and Peter.
The arms hugging him in a comforting embrace belonged to James on the left and Sirius in the right. Peter was the one rubbing his back. Sirius is the one who had continued talking.
"Sshh Rem, it's ok, calm down, you just have a umm a uh-"
"Furry littleproblem?"James suggested.
"Yes, you just have a furry little problem, it doesn't change you, your still our Remus, your still outsmart, logical, funny, book loving, chocoholic Remus."
Green eyes met grey.
"But I'm a monster."
Remus whispered. It was a miracle Sirius heard him.
"Remus Lupin."
His voice soft but stern.
"Don't you ever call yourself a monster ever again, you are the opposite."
"Honestly Remmy.'"
Jame added,
"you get perfect marks in everything, your part of the room is spotless and you organise your trunk when your packing, I don't think your a monster."
Remus managed a choked laugh.
"You really don't mind then?"
He whispered.
"Not in the slightest." Sirius whispered back.
Remus had friends. Real friends. Friends that accepted him as who he was.
Remus fell asleep that night surrounded with his friends, they all shared his bed unable to tell who's limbs were who's.
Remus fell asleep with a smile on his face. A smile that held so many words.
