The Ice Palace
It was a cold winter day in Adventure Bay, and Marshall was leading Everest through the woods. Marshall had a surprise waiting for Everest, so he had her put on a blindfold. "Marshall, where are we going?"
"I told you, it's a surprise."
"Ugh!"
"Trust me; this will have been worth when you see what I made you. In fact, we're almost there." Walking through a small thicket, the two pups arrived at their destination. "Alright, uncover your eyes.," Marshall said, barely being able to contain himself. When Everest opened her eyes after taking off the blindfold, she was left speechless. A giant ice palace stood in front of them. "I made every piece myself," Marshall told her.
"Is everything made out of ice?"
"Yes."
"Marshall, this is...amazing!"
"Glad you like it. But wait until you go inside." Everest was barely able to hold in her excitement as Marshall opened the ice doors. Everest closed her eyes as she walked inside, and when she and Marshall were completely inside, she opened her eyes. She had thought the outside was amazing, but this, Everest had never seen anything so beautiful, nor had she ever dreamed of seeing anything so beautiful.
"You did all this?"
"Every single detail was created by these paws."
"How did you do it?"
"Weeks and weeks of work."
"And you did all this, for me?"
"Yes. It's all for you."
"Marshall, I don't know what to say."
"There's one more thing I want to show you."
"I can't wait!" Marshall led her through the ice palace foyer, and into the center most room. What was inside, was even better than what Everest had already seen. The room looked like any other room you would see in a house, only everything was made out of ice. But in the center of the room was a statue of Everest made entirely out of ice, and it was almost a perfect replica. "Did you carve this?"
"Yes, I did."
"Marshall," She said turning to look at him, "This is the second best day of my life, the first being meeting Jake and you pups. I-I don't know what to say."
"Then don't say anything." Marshall said with a smile on his face.
"But Marshall, I do have something to give you."
"What's that?"
"This." In response, Everest put her lips to his, and held him close, in a long and passionate kiss. Marshall was taken aback by her actions, and could feel himself melting in her embrace. When Everest ended the kiss, Marshall could only stand there and stare in her eyes. "I love you, Marshall." Everest said, blushing.
"I-I love you t-too, Everest." He said, barely being able to speak.
