The Cloud's Project 1
Schools about to end. Only two more days and I get to graduate. I'm currently in a Senior Group for the graduating class. We tell our entire over-enormous class who I don't even know a quarter of, my name, age, and career choice. Honestly, it's the most boring thing ever. Who wants to sit in a large room in front of people you don't even talk to and be forced to talk about yourself? Not me, obviously. After about half an hour they finally get to me. I say, "I'm Ally Dawson. I'm eighteen years old. And I'm sticking to the career I so lovely enjoy currently: Being a Singer and Songwriter." The teacher says some crappy speech on how happy he is for each one of us to be making it through high school.
Then across from me a guy starts talking. He's got messy blonde hair, tanned skin, brown eyes, and looks tall. I can't really tell easily because he is sitting down but I'm pretty sure he is. "I'm Austin Moon. I'm eighteen and I'm currently an aspiring musician hoping to get signed by a record label one day." This sparked my interest. He's quite similar to me. Big dreams. Big hopes. I should get to know him. Maybe not right now but at grad. When I'll probably see him next anyways. I was about to fall asleep in my chair when the teacher claps his hands together very loudly.
"Okay seniors. That's our last group session. I hope you guys have a great grad. I'll be their. You all have bright futures ahead of you." The whole class leaves the room and I bump into Austin.
"Sorry." Austin says and starts to walk away. Might as well start now then.
I grab his shoulder to get his attention from the crowd of people exiting the same small room. "Austin."
He turns around to face me, confusion on his face. "Are you talking to me?" He is tall.
"Yeah. So, we both are interested in the same thing, huh?"
"Yeah, I guess. You paid attention to me?"
"I thought you were cute."
I see his blush. How cute. She must me a shy guy. "You did?"
"Yeah. Still do, you know?"
"Uh, yeah. Thanks, Ally." He lets out a nervous laugh.
"See you at graduation?"
"Yeah." We both end up silently walking to the student parking lot at the other end of the school.
"See you later." I wave at him. He gives me a grin. That's all he has? A grin? Man, he needs some work. I jump in my car and drive out of the parking lot carefully. I head my way home. I was about to stop my car in front of a moving train when my brakes started to fail. I was going to use my emergency brakes but I panicked and then everything went black.
But then it went white. I saw fog: lots of it. I start walking when I saw something golden appear in front of me. It's a gate. I try opening it when someone speaks. "What is your name?"
"Uh...Ally Dawson." I spoke.
"There is no Uh Ally Dawson in our file."
"No, just Ally Dawson."
"Sorry, there is no Just Ally Dawson. What is your name?"
"Ally Dawson."
"Where are you from?"
"Miami, Florida."
"Say you're name and place you live again."
"Ally Dawson. Miami, Florida."
"Well, that's odd."
"What is? That's going on? Where am I?"
The gates open. I start walking inside when I see a blue eyes, black haired, man. He smiles at me and then looks down at a clip board. "Please come with me Ally. We should talk."
"Talk about what? Who are you and where am I?"
Suddenly a cloudish looking door appears in front of us. He opens it and we enter to a white room. All the furniture inside is white. Desk, chairs, Walls. "Please sit."
After I did I ask again, "What's going on? Where am I? Does my parents know that I'm here?"
"Sort of, yes."
"What do you mean?"
"Listen. Ally. You died. And you came up here."
"What's 'up here?'"
"You're in Armonia."
"Where is...wait did you just say that I died?"
"Yes."
"When, where, why, how?"
"I understand you're confusion. A couple moths ago you were in a car collision accident. You're brakes failed on your car and you collided into a moving train on you're way home. It was an accident."
"Well, on Earth it is. I'm here for a reason."
"Well, you have arrived early."
"Early? What do you mean?"
"You're death date was supposed to be not for another seventy years."
"So what you're saying is that I'm supposed to be dead at age eighty eight but instead I died at eighteen?"
"That's exactly what I'm saying. Just let me call someone." He starts clicking the buttons on his desk phone. "Yes, sir, I have Ally Dawson in my office...Miami, Florida...three months ago...she just arrived...okay, yes I can do that...thanks." He hangs up the phone and sighs. Okay, so I just talked to..."
"Was that him?"
"Who?"
"You know? The Man."
"Yes, it was. And he told me that you weren't supposed to arrive yet."
"But what now? I mean, I'm already dead."
"But he said there was also a reason why you died early."
"Okay..."
"You are given a second chance."
"A second chance for what? For life?"
"No. To save your soul."
"What?"
"You turn out to be a terrible person in the future."
"How do you know? I'm dead."
"But we brought you up here so you have the chance to change your destiny. A second change to save your soul from the darkness. You're a very special person. There is no chance that you can go back down on Earth and love again."
"What am I supposedly like in the future if I never died?"
"See for yourself."
A screen comes up in between the man and I.
"Ally, you should come to the awards ceremony." My mom says.
"I'm not going. I wasn't nominated for anything so their is no point."
"It's not about the awards. It's about supporting people that you love."
"Love? Love? Okay, I would love an award. But I wasn't nominated for best actress, model of the year, best TV show, artist of the year. Nothing. Winning Is all that matters to me and if you can't except that then you're dead to me. You can leave now."
I look up feeling ashamed even though that hasn't happened to me...yet. "I...that's not possible. That's not me. I wouldn't do that."
"Current you wouldn't do that. But it's the steps that lead up to what could happen to you in the future. That's why we stopped it before you could do anything bad. I'm now going to show you a clip closer to now. This would be two years later."
His hands touch my back. "Come on. Please help me with my speech."
I turn around. It's Austin. "Austin, why can't you do your own speech just like everyone else instead of getting everyone else doing your dirty work. You can't even clean your own dish. You have to get your servants to do that for you."
"They're not servants they are my maids. And they only work once a week. So I do most of the work, unlike you. "
"Same shit different pile."
"What is with you? Why can't you ever appreciate what you have? All you care about is getting nominated and winning and that is not what I signed up for when we started dating." He puts his hands on my shoulder. "What happened to the nice girl who helped me with a record company getting me signed? Where's the girl I met at Seniors group in high school?"
I move his hands off of me, "She's gone. And if you can't except who I am now than you can leave."
"Okay, I will." He turns around and starts walking towards the door.
"Where are you going?"
"You told me to leave. I'm just following you're ORDERS."
"Aus... I was just kidding. Please, I love you."
"We're over. I'll be back tomorrow with my things."
I look down at my hand while crying playing with my newly engagement ring.
The screen closes. I look up crying. I wipe my tears but the man gives me a box of tissues. I look down at the desk to see his name JAKE SMILE. "Jake Smile. Nice name."
"Thanks. So, how do you feel about your future self now."
"I feel like she's a selfish =====" It went quiet. "What just happened?"
"We do not allow bad language in Amonia. It is silenced every time."
"Okay, sorry. She's not me."
"Will you accept what we have planned for you to change your soul."
"What happened if I don't?"
"You'll go to the darkness. It's not a happy place. They are tortured, and hurt every second for the rest of there afterlife."
"Oh, my ===" Jake coughs. "Oops. Gosh. Sorry, again. It's going to take getting used to."
"Yes, it is."
"So, what's my challenge?"
"Well, you will be returning to Earth but not in human form. As a spirit ghost. Only you're chosen person will see you. You will have one power which I am not allowed to tell you. You will find out when you get their. You will help you're assigned human be happy. They haven't been happy since they're father died. They only have they're mother. They just graduated high school so they live on they're own."
"My job is exactly?"
"To make them feel like they're not the only person in the world and that he or she will be able to live a happy life without their father."
"Okay, I can do that."
"You have as much time as you want."
"How do I know when they are ready?"
"You'll just know. So now for the rules: No bringing them up here. You'll be able to transport them anywhere but up here. They are not allowed to tell anyone. No exceptions. Those are the current rules. They may get upgrades but so far we haven't had to upgrade them. I'm going to send you down their. You may be able to come up when he or she is asleep. I'll do the paper work and entered you into The Clouds Project so you have a place to stay up here. That's what it's called when you help someone on Earth as a ghost. Good luck."
I nod my head, "Thanks." I twirl my hair and close my eyes. Suddenly I'm in a room. Their is a piano. Couch, television. It looks like an apartment. But who's. Are they home yet. Surely they would send me to where they are. By the looks of the apartment it's got to be a boy. A musical one. He's got taste. I walk to the dining room and see him at the table reading on his phone. I know who that is. "Austin?"
He looks up at me, "Ally?", and then he falls back in his chair, "Ah!"
So what do you guys think. I think I've got my writers block fixed. I think I've got some ideas following. I hope you enjoy this and please and thank you give a review of how you thought. Have an ideas. Let me know! Thanks!
