My chosen moral was: Always Tell the Truth.
The Jam Thief
"Naruto, did you eat the last of the jam?" Naruto's mother Kushina asked her five-year-old son.
She had gone to make a jam sandwich when she saw there was none left, and she's bought a jar the day before, so someone must have eaten it.
"N-No mother!" Naruto chirruped.
He had taken the jam, but if he told his mother that, she'd be very mad. And Naruto didn't want her to be mad.
"Okay, do you know who did?" Kushina asked.
"Um…" Naruto thought quickly.
If he said no, Kushina would go looking for the jam jar to find out who took it, and she would find it in his room, but if he said yes, he could get rid of the jar and be safe.
"Sasuke!" Naruto said implementing his childhood friend.
"Sasuke? Okay I'll go have a word with him, thank you dear," Kushina went upstairs to talk to her adopted son.
~five minutes later~
"I hate you Naruto, you took that jam and now I'm grounded!" Sasuke snapped.
Naruto felt bad. He went into the kitchen to where his mother was.
"Um…mother?" he asked.
"Yes dear?" Kushina said.
"It was really me who took the jam, not Sasuke. But I didn't want you to be bad," Naruto said.
"Oh? Well I'm glad you told me the truth dear, as punishment you're grounded for a week, but you did the right thing in saving Sasuke from a fate he didn't deserve, I'm proud of you. Next time, just tell me, I won't get mad." Kushina said
Sasuke smiled and hugged him when he went up to his room afterwards. "Thanks Naruto." He said gratefully.
Naruto smiled back. He felt a lot better now. Next time, he would tell the truth.
The end! Your turn! And I expect my regular reviewers to have go at this, but you don't have to, I guess *grumble grumble* -
Anyway, look forward to your drabbles.
Ja! Your dear Zammie, forever you humble servant in delivering hot yaoi smex ;P
