Flowers from the Unknown

Every day, Prussia gives flowers to Hungary, although he never gave them directly to her. That is why Hungary believes that Austria gives her flowers instead.

Hungary was in a position she thought she would NEVER be in. Every day, she received flowers from an anonymous admirer, starting from when she still thought she was a boy. She would always receive them in either bouquets, single stems or sometimes only the petals would appear at her feet. The flowers varied, from the noble rose to the fierce tiger lily. Sometimes even wild flowers would appear from who-knows-where. The places where they appeared were usually mixed up as well. Vases in front of her house, stems in the breast pocket of her uniform, pots received from a delivery boy, sometimes even petals were thrown off a building on top of her. Somehow, these acts seemed to cheer up her mood by adding colour to her everyday life. But who was the mysterious man who enlightened her days with the beauties of Mother Nature?

In the morning, Hungary opened her eyes to a knock to her door. Inside, she complained and wished upon a star that it wasn't her boss at the other side of the door.

'I've had enough already. I just want to sleep instead of filling out politic papers. I've already did all of it last night. I can't bear with MORE work at this hour.' She trudged down the stairs without changing because she couldn't be bothered and slammed open the door.

"WHO THIS HELL IS IT?" As soon as the words escaped her mouth, she regretted it. There, at her door, was her old friend Prussia. From the looks of it, he was busy rebelling against Russia's invasions. His blood red eyes had a slightly dead look to it as he stared at her like she was a ray of hope in his life. His usually pure white hair was stained with red and caked with earth.

He looked at her and was shocked. She had purple bags under her usually bright and playful eyes. Her shoulders were slumping down and stared back at him with apology written in her sea of green eyes. But neither the less, he was happy to see her. Thrilled, in fact. He limped inside and took his heavy jacket off. He hung on the clothes hanger before looking back at her.

"Can I have a bath?" After these words came off his tongue, Hungary shook her head.

"Let me treat you first. You look terrible. What happened?"

"You need to ask? Russia is what happened. And I'm fine. I just want to have bath. Please? Can I?" Prussia begged tiredly.

"Fine, but AFTER I'm done with you." She led him to the bathroom where she had her first aid kit. "Where does it hurt?" She asked in a soft voice.

"Nowhere, because I'm awesome!" He exclaimed before coughing up a fit. Hungary looked at him annoyingly before she repeated her question.

"Where does it hurt, you dummy" She looked into his eyes which made him blush slightly. He shifted his eyes away before answering.

"Everywhere. There, happy now, ma'am?" He sulked. He hated it when he admitted his weakness. He wanted to boast about strength he didn't have. But hey, he has his pride to think about. He wouldn't be the awesome Prussia he is if he wasn't fearful. Hungary had enough of his façade and poked his shoulder, causing him to wince in pain.

"Please stop acting so tough. I won't tell anyone so tell me WHERE it hurts, ne?" Her face shaped into an apologetic one as she waited patiently for his answer.

"Like I said, everywhere. I'm starting to feel numb but it still hurts." Hungary sighed. This answer would have to do.

"Be patient. And be strong. This will hurt"
