Heaven can Wait
We the kings
Macy's POV
Wes grabbed my hand and I looked up and smiled.
"I've been thinking a lot, Wes" I told him.
"Uh oh," He chuckled as I punched his arm lightly.
"No really, how are we supposed to celebrate Earth Day?"
"Recycle. Plant a tree,"
I frowned at this.
"I know that," I told him, "You know what I mean."
Here's a song for the nights
I think too much and
Here's a song when imagine us together
Here's a song for when we talk too much
And I forget my words
I watched his lips move to answer.
"Earth day was my mother's favorite holiday, you know. She was into all that hippie stuff."
"Did you do anything special?"
"What is there to do? It's a day to celebrate the Earth. We do that every day."
I laid my head on his shoulder and watched the water roll in and out on the shore.
His marvel eyes watched me, they powered me. I sometimes believe that the world is in his eyes. Well, my world, anyway.
Heaven can wait up high in the sky
It's you and I
Heaven can wait deep down in your eyes
I'm yours tonight
Lay your heart next to mine
I feel so alive
Tell me you want me to stay, forever
'Cause heaven can wait
"Some mother!" I exclaimed suddenly.
"What?"
"Mother Earth. How'd she let me fall in love with someone like you?"
He didn't respond. I stood up. "Catch me if you can!" I told him, and I started running.
Here's a song for the one who stole my heart
And ran so far, that cupid couldn't catch her
Here's a song for the kid who aims so high
He shot her down
I knew he couldn't catch me so I slowed down just enough for him to be able to tackle my waste and send us both rolling to the ground. I pause from my laughing to peck him on the check. He froze entirely and he grabbed my head and pulled me in for a passionate kiss.
Heaven can wait up high in the sky
It's you and I
Heaven can wait deep down in your eyes
I'm yours tonight
Lay your heart next to mine
I feel so alive
Tell me you want me to stay forever
'Cause heaven can wait
"Earth Day!"
"Yes! I almost forgot! Here!" Wes gave me his hand to help me up."
I wanted to say something profound, but my tongue decided to stop working.
Here's a song for the nights I drink too much
And spill my words
"Yes Earth Day! How can we recycle today?"
"We can go get some stuff from the junkyard and remake it." I said.
"We? You want to learn how to weld?"
"Not really. But I want to watch you do it."
We left and went to his house soon after that. When we got to his workshop, I sat and watched him for hours. His hands seemed to work magic with the torch.
We got hungry soon and I went to get some frozen yogurt.
Heaven can wait up high in the sky
It's you and I
Heaven can wait deep down in your eyes
I'm yours tonight
Lay your heart next to mine
I feel so alive
Tell me you want me to stay, forever
'Cause heaven can wait
When I walked into his workshop, he looked up and smiled at me. Behind him was a giant globe of metal and scraps. I knew if my sister was here she'd say it represented something like corporations taking out all organic life from the planet.
He smiled as he took the yogurt from my hand.
"You came backā¦"
"I came home," I replied as I rose on my toes to meet my lips to his.
'Cause heaven can wait
'Cause heaven can wait
Laura! I hope you liked it!
Please review and happy a happy day 2.
