"Have you done it? Have you done the right thing?" asked Delphine, both hesitation and hope in her breath.
Upon hearing this question, Esbern quietly looked upon the dragonscale clad form of the Dragonborn. He too, was interested in what their friend's answer would be.
The Dragonborn took off her scaled helmet and laid it upon the table. "Twas not an easy thing to decide," she replied, "whether to kill him or not, that is. His crimes were unpardonable, yet he's done much for me, and will do more for me still."
Delphine felt a strange feeling in the pit of her gut as she heard those words. "What do you mean, Dragonborn?"
The nord reached past her blonde locks of hair and gripped the hilt of her blade. Drawing it out in one motion, she laid it upon the table.
"Behold the blade I choose to wield in my final battle with Alduin. Behold Paarthurnax."
