She smiled at him and he smiled back, watching her as she sat on the ground grinning widely as the spring rain soaked in her clothes and hair. She was already drenched but she couldn't care less. Happiness shone in her eyes as she stretched her hands out to the rainy sky above her.

"Join me, Daniel!" She shouted through the pouring rain. "It's wonderful!" Regina now rose to her feet and started to swirl around.

"I'll get soaking wet." He answered, the whole time smiling at the beautiful girl in front of him.

"Very well then!" She pouted her lips theatrically before she turned on her heels and started to run away from him. She turned her head towards him only to call after him. "Then I'm not longer yours." She grinned and with that she ran in the direction of the Firefly Hill.

Daniel laughed after her, enjoying Regina's playfulness, before he muttered to himself "Oh no, you did not say that". And with a wild smile he ran after her. As soon as he left the safe and dry place of their house, the rain began to soak into his simple linen shirt. After a long moment he finally caught up to her. His breathing was rapid from the effort of chasing her; she was much faster and stronger than he thought. Immediately, Daniel's hands wrapped around her slim waist. He was holding her steady in place as she laughed hysterically. She felt his warm breath on her neck when he brought his lips to her ear, gently brushing it.

"What did you just say?" He asked in a low voice, not releasing her from his firm embrace for a moment. Regina only laughed harder; her breathing uneven as she tried to catch air when another fit of laughter ran through her body. Daniel spun her in place so she was now facing him.

"How's that that you're not longer mine?" He asked her with fake seriousness.

Regina stopped laughing and looked at him with a serious expression on her face as she replied.

"It's simple. I don't want you any longer. You don't want to play with me in the rain. Too afraid to get wet?" She said mockingly but the little smile never left her lips. "Apparently I picked a wrong husband," she said thoughtfully. Her eyes encouraged him to continue this little game of hers.

"Oh is that so?" Daniel exclaimed raising his eyebrows. "Well, my dear, then indeed you picked a wrong man." Suddenly he scoped her into his arms and Regina let out a surprised gasp. He quickly placed her on the wet grass and straddled her, pinning her body to the ground. "But guess what," he smiled at her wickedly "you're stuck with me. Till death do us part." With that Daniel began to tickle her mercilessly. She burst into uncontrollable laugh when his hands roamed all over her body. When he didn't stop and her body began to hurt from the excess of laughter, she embraced his neck and pulled him closer to her. She was gasping but between her labored breaths she managed to say "Please, stop! Stop! I can't!" But even then his hands didn't leave her body.

"Daniel! I love you! I love you the most in the world! Please!" She breathed out completely helpless. Instantly, Daniel's palms stopped and he lowered himself to capture her plump lips. He kissed her forcefully with all the passion he had for this incredible woman that he proudly could call his wife. They finally parted for air and he whispered into her ear. "That's what I wanted to hear." The playful smirk graced his lips and her eyes shone with pure admiration as the rain poured down at them.
