It Is Your Time

Prue felt renewed life when she took the hand. There was a bright light, then everything took its regular form, and she saw the all too familiar face.
"Let go of me!"
"It is your time."
Prue crossed her arms and took a step away.
"I told you about fighting me, Prue."
"They need me. I can't go. I can't die."
"Everything dies, Prue. Right now, it is time for you to come with me."
"I can't leave them."
Prue glanced down and saw Piper's body next to her own. She shivered then took a step back.
"I need to be here for them." Prue said. "Leo is going to heal us all, then they need me to be here to pick up the pieces. It's what I do."
"It's time they learned how to glue the pieces together themselves." The Angel Of Death told her and put a hand on her shoulder. Prue shrugged his hand off then took another step back.
"They're not ready, yet." Prue said. "I have to be here."
"You have to be with your mother." He told her.
Prue realized how truly tempting that offer was, but she went so many years without seeing her mother... she hadn't gone a day without seeing her sisters.
"You told me that if I accepted you, I wouldn't be next." Prue said. Then she looked at The Angel with a hardened expression and tears in her eyes. "You lied."
"Even I didn't know things would work out this way, Prue. Fate always changes things. I just go where I'm called."
"Tell me one thing and I might go with you." Prue said.
"What?"
Prue glanced down at Piper's body, then looked at the Angel Of Death.
"Are they going to be okay?"
"They'll be fine." He told her then extended his hand.
Prue took a deep breath, then took his hand. She knew what would happen; she had seen it herself. But it was all right now, she knew they were going to be okay.
