It was late at night. Mr. Krabs and Mrs. Puff were snuggling in bed together, and Mrs. Puff had fallen asleep. Mr. Krabs, however, was wide awake and couldn't sleep. He looked outside the window and noticed that it was a beautiful night in Bikini Bottom. Mr. Krabs just lay awake thinking about the love of his life, Mrs. Puff. Ever since he met her in the Krusty Krab, the two had been dating for a while. He felt that she was just what he needed.
Mr. Krabs then thought about how much hardship he had dealt with throughout his life. His father had died when he was just a young lad. Mr. Krabs and his mother were poor, so he had to wear rags. He and his best friend Plankton were seen as outcasts by the other students. Finally, to top it all off, he and Plankton had fought and became sworn enemies. As an adult, Mr. Krabs had joined the Navy and entered a war. He developed PTSD after the war, staying secluded in a deep depression that seemed endless. There were many times Krabs had felt so hopeless, he wasn't sure if he had the will to live anymore. He turned to money as a form of comfort and later had a daughter named Pearl. Then, he found someone who is like a son to him; SpongeBob. Then came that day, Mr. Krabs saw Mrs. Puff sitting at one of the tables eating by herself.
Mr. Krabs started to shiver because he was a little cold. He turned over and hugged Mrs. Puff close to him. He let her rest her head on his chest. He looked at her and thought, "I'm so glad I met you. You are the best thing that's happened to me." He laid awake for a while longer with Mrs. Puff in his arms, and then he finally went to sleep.
