I walked around him, trailing my finger along his bloody jaw line. His
handcuffs clinked as he tried to pull himself out of the chair. I could see
the anger and hatred in his eyes as he glared at me.
"Now, are you going to talk or are we going to have to remove another one of those pretty little teeth of yours?" Well, my grab-and-go mission had turned into a little more. This guy knew something, and I wanted to know what it was. Dixon was probably worrying his bony little ass off about where I was, but I didn't care. I had been like this for a while now, and I hoped that he would soon realize that this was the new me. Ever since I learned the truth, about SD-6 and Danny's death…
"Welcome, Agent Vaughn. I hope you are prepared for the task that we have for you here. One of our most valuable agents, a double inside SD-6, has become somewhat of a hassle. She has become a little heartless and cruel, and we were hoping that a stronger, younger agent like you might be able to control her more."
"What do you mean when you say 'a hassle'?" Or do I not want to know?
"Well, she was engaged to this one man, and she told him what she did for a job, and SD-6 had him killed. She sort of snapped after that, and everyone she sees she feels the need to avenge his death. The last handler she had, well, it wasn't pretty I'm afraid."
"What did she do?"
"I'm afraid to tell you, but she attacked him and he is still in the hospital recovering. He tried to tell her that she was taking her job too seriously."
"Oh…" I was starting to get a little scared. I didn't have that much experience in the handler department, and the CIA was giving me this?
"Here she is."
I watched my new handler turn around in his seat and watch me walk towards him. Good, my neon pink hair ought to scare this suit right away, maybe then the agency would get off my back a little if I go through another handler fast. But wait, mm, he's not that bad looking, maybe I'll keep him around for a while.
I watched as she walked down the hall towards us, and realized why they called them 'cat suits'. She was in a black leather one, and her hair was dyed bright pink. I could see now why Devlin had called her a hassle. She definitely looked like one, with that walk.
"Agent Sydney Bristow, this is your new handler, Agent Michael Vaughn."
