Distracting Disctractions

a Siriusly Klutzy story

"You're all talk, Black," thirteen-year-old Marlene McKinnon said one night while the pair was in the library looking up definitions for Charms.

"Excuse me?" Sirius said. For once, he didn't have a witty comeback and he wasn't goofing off.

"You heard me."

"And what exactly do you mean by this?" he asked her, raising an eyebrow.

"You're all talk. You go on and on about all of these girls, but my guess is that you've never so much as held hands with one."

"That's not true!" Sirius claimed, rather loudly. Remus, who was getting a book in the shelf over looked at the two. Sirius lowered his voice. "It's not."

"All those times you said you've gone about snogging girls, I bet it's not true. The apple I ate at lunch has more experience then you."

Well, Sirius took offense to that.

"Only because you slobbered all over it!"

Marlene laughed.

"Tisk, tisk Sirius. Being less experience than my lunch."

"Hey!"

"Shh," Remus said. He eyed them awkwardly before looking back at the book he was holding.

"I have so!"

Marlene snickered. "Your dreams don't count."

"It wasn't a dream!" Sirius crossed his arms and stared at her.

"Well, last I checked pillows don't have a gender either."

"It wasn't my pillow!"

"Why would you kiss someone else's pillow?" she asked, obviously disturbed.

Sirius groaned in frustration.

"It wasn't a pillow!"

Marlene laughed.

"Are you gay, or do you pretend that you're not looking at yourself when you're kissing your mirror?"

Sirius looked at her in shock.

"Okay, that one was uncalled for."

"Damn right it was."

After a moment of silence, Marlene looked at him again.

"Admit it, Black. You've never been kissed."

Sirius glared.

Marlene smiled smugly.

"Well why not?"

Sirius continued glaring.

"I didn't admit that I'm snoggless."

"Oh, but we both know you are."

"I'm sure you've been snogged thousands of times."

"Nope."

"What?"

"Never."

"I don't believe you."

"You wouldn't."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing."

"Well then, why-" he started, but was cut off by a very distracting distraction.

All he wanted to do was ask a simple question and he was left with a Marlene hanging off of his face for the briefest of brief seconds. Shocked, but pleased, he sat there, not really doing anything. Except being kissed that is.

Marlene pulled away smugly.

"Is that what you were trying to do this entire time?"

Marlene grinned. "Basically."

Sirius raised an eyebrow.

She shrugged. "I just wanted to see what it was like. And let me tell you, I won't be kissing you again any time soon."

Sirius went to protest, but Marlene once again cut him off, this time not with her lips.

"Lets finish this Charms homework." She picked up her quill and started scribbling on her parchment, not embarrassed in the least.

Sirius, completely confused, stared at her blankly as Remus took the empty chair next to him.

A/n: So it was about time for another one-shot. This one, once again, was random. I hope you liked it. I liked writing Sirius having a rahter awkward first kiss. Review and let me know what you think. It makes my day.

Love and handfuls of my leftover Halloween candy,
